seems like a generation ago . . . and when I started to think about recruits and the perception of our program, the guys we are recruiting for 2017, for example, were what, 9 or 10 years old the last time we made it to the second game of the second weekend in the NCAAT's? I know that we, as Pitt fans, can be as myopic as any other team's fans. If 2009 represents the "high water mark" in the current Pitt BB Era, though, we need some kind of change if we ever hope to be back at that level. It seems pretty obvious to me that changes will need to occur with all or some of the guys who wear the suits and ties if we miss the NCAA's for a second year in a row.
The "point" I am trying to make - without sounding too redundant - is that the kids we are recruiting, and the ones who are also looking at = or better programs (including VT and Miami in the ACC), are probably not looking at the Pitt as the team of 2009.
