With two 4* players already committed and speculation of another it is shaping up to be a great class. One player I'd like to know if Pitt is still in on is Rocco Spindler? Legacy recruit and a big time player. Would be nice to add him.

It’s been Michigan in the driver’s seat for him for over a year with ND having an outside shot. Pitt gets a mention but not in the running. Daddy Spindler has no love for Pitt.
He most certainly was not. Starting with the fact he was part of a recruiting class that was very much under suspicion in the Golden Panther era. Many of the other top players in that class, the best in the country and in Pitt history, were implicated as well.Spoke publicly about how he felt mistreated at Pitt when the details of the impropriety came out, Gottfried got fired and Pitt started to clean things up. That was why he left early.
Because he spent most of his career in Detroit and lives in nearby Clarkston, Mich., he remains a Lions fan. Not so much with the Pitt Panthers. Because he left a year early before that was common, he was persona non grata around the Pitt campus.
“It’s unfortunate to go from being a guy they built a program around to being more or less blackballed,” Spindler said. “That really hurt me. For a while, it looked like Dave Wannstedt was reaching out, but when he was fired, that ended.”
Rocco Spindler has Pitt in his final 8. As for Marc Spindler not liking Pitt, I used to live in Michigan, and Spindler had a radio show. He always spoke highly of Pitt, and when Pitt got Narduzzi, he loved the hire.
Furthermore, strictly from a football perspective, if Spindler plays next to Donald and Johnson, our opponents cant double team him, and he would be a monster here, and clearly be an early first round pick. This is no different than if he went to Michigan or Ohio State
Dude--Pitt is not in the running. It never was. this kid--and his dad--have had him penciled in at Michigan since he was in 7th grade. ND has a puncher's chance.
Of Spindler’s 14 offers, he said it’s “definitely” a dogfight between Michigan and Notre Dame. He’s also interested in Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU and Penn State. He plans to release a top list in the near future.
Again, even as thoughts of other schools enter his mind, the 6-foot-5, 285-pound lineman often finds himself going back to the Wolverines and Fighting Irish.
“Everybody says it’s going to be between those two schools, and it definitely is,” Spindler said. “I’m not going to lie. Those two schools have shown the most interest, and I can see what they’re producing to the next level. I love those teams.”

Do I think he is going to Pitt? No, of course not. But is Pitt in his finalists? Yes!!!! So, stop being a douche for no reason.
So you won on a technicality? Kids list schools they're not going to or may not even have offers to all the time. For all practical purposes, Pitt probably isn't "in it". They're a prop to get attention or more OV's.
I see Toledo was a finalist for his services in May 2019 as well.
I'm sure they're celebrating as we speak.
