Last #5 seed

Seeded anywhere from 4-9

2 Duke
4 Clem
9 UNC

4 Miss St
7 Wis
10 WVU
11 OSU
11 LSU

14 of 16 SEC teams in plus Vandy as 5th team out.

Team A
9-1
Net 29
1-1 Q1
0-0 Q2
1-0 Q3
7-0 Q4

Team B
9-2
Net 39
0-1 Q1
2-1 Q2
3-0 Q3
4-0 Q4

Team C
9-2
Net 44
1-2 Q1
0-0 Q2
3-0 Q3
5-0 Q4

Team D
9-1
Net 24
1-1 Q1
0-0 Q2
4-0 Q3
4-0 Q4

3 SEC teams and 1 ACC team in those four. I can see why people think 11-12 SEC, but some of the teams like the ones I listed will need to rack up Q1/2 wins.

I think 5 is more likely than 3. Right now, its Duke, Pitt, Clem and then UNC, SMU, FSU, Lou, Stan, Wake, and NC St fighting for 2 bids.
UNC will likely figure it out and do well in the ACC. I think a 5th team will probably step up too.

Louisville losing Pryor takes them out, IMO. Wake couldn't get in the last few years with better teams, so I'm not sure that Forbes can get it done. FSU looks okay, but seem like a team that will be around .500 all year in the league. NC State isn't good. I haven't seen Stanford play yet, but that non-conference schedule is weak as hell with some bad losses in there. I don't see it.

Hell, so maybe it is only 4 teams because the potential 5th options probably comes down exclusively to SMU and Wake.

Lou - losing Pryor hurts and they just arent ready

NC St - I dont know. I feel like they'll be around the bubble like they always are

Wake - I agree

FSU - darkhorse but I dont think they can rack up enough good wins

UNC - They dont seem like a very good team and do you really trust Hubert? Not so sure they dont go 10-10

Stanford - schedule has been cake and they managed to lose 2 but they might have the best coach in the league and the best big in the nation so they have an outside chance

SMU - this would be my pick if I had to pick one. Boopie Miller is legit, they have a good coach, and I feel like they are going to win most, if not all, their home games.

UNC didn’t replace Bacot and they have chemistry issues and off the court issues with their guards the same as when Caleb Love was there. Hubert’s seat is getting warm. I could see them missing the tourney.

They are actually a good matchup for us this year. A guard oriented team that is rather weak inside. Other than the ACC tournament game, they have been our bitch lately. We will have a shot at getting them again this year. If they do go on to miss the tournament again, I would bet that Hubert will be gone.

UNC's entire season comes down to these next 2 games. They play Florida in Charlotte and then UCLA at MSG. If they lose both, they'd be 5-6 in the non-con. Their schedule would be incredibly difficult so they'd get credit for that but they will have lost all of them except vs Dayton. If they go 5-6, they'd have to go at least 13-7 in the ACC and at 18-13 with only good 1 win (Dayton) if they dont beat Duke and maybe get 1 win over Pitt/Clem, I dont see how that's enough. They'd probably have to go 14-6. I just dont see it. I overrated UNC. RJ Davis is very good but there's not another player on their team who is above average. And they have no bigs.

This is my point. Yeah UNC played a tough schedule…but win games. Wins should matter more than they do now.

Just like a team that goes 7-11 in a tough conference. Yeah it’s a tough conference but so what. Win more games if you want to go dancing.

True, but it seems like once it's mostly conference play there won't be too many moves as far as # of teams from conferences getting in.

This is true. Nov/Dec is by far more important than Jan/Feb. Not only are those 11 games extra-weighted, your conference is essentially locked into a set number of bids based on Nov/Dec. Well, a range, really. For the ACC, its 3-5 with a very tiny chance of 2-6. The ACC better hope Pitt or Clemson dont tank because they are the only ones with the non-con resume. The other schools will need to go like 14-6 to get in.

UNC will make it along with Duke, Pitt and Clemson. Not sure on a 5th.

Lunardi hates Pitt. He'll always have us 1-2 seed lines below.

Lunardi hates Pitt, ACC hates Pitt, refs hate Pitt, local media hates Pitt, national media hates Pitt. It is amazing that Pitt is able to maintain any kind of athletic programs at all, given that everyone hates Pitt.
lol lighten up Francis

I am exaggerating a little because I am sure Lunardi doesn't have a deep hatred for Pitt but he is a Philly guy and St. Joseph's employee. As a Philly and A10 guy, it is natural for him to have a dislike of Pittsburgh and Big East/ACC.

Our twin shelties, Crosby and Cutch hate Pitt. The guy blocking the Bridgeville exit of 79 hates Pitt The waitress at the Denny's on Cochran road hates Pitt. My plumber hates Pitt, even though I tipped him a $100 for coming out on Christmas Eve.....

1-3-1 Sports just updated. We are a 10 seed, first in "Last 4 Byes." They are the #2 ranked bracketolgist. A lot of you are not realizing how much our non-con and beating Dream Team III (aka WVU) helps. They LOVE November basketball!

I would hate to see Wake get in and how much people would slobber over Forbes after he actually makes the tournament.

thanks, there's a lifeline but now I'm more worried they can even get to 10-10...

10-10 and NIT (or turn it down) is where I think we finish. Cant play D or rebound consistently enough. 11-9 could very well be enough. 12-8 and its a guaranteed lock. Of we win these next 2, we would feel much better.

Just updated

In 67 of 69 brackets. Last 9 seed is the average. However, that is more favorable than it should be because it still includes 36 brackets which haven't been updated since before the Clemson game. Of the 33 brackets that were updated after the Clemson game, Pitt is in 31. Haslam Metrics doesn't have us in but that's a computer program, not a person. Ironically, that's the 1 who had us in last year. Some Upstate South Carolina bracketologist has us as an 8. Lots of 9s and 10s. A few 11's. Beat Syr & UNC and we are in ok shape.

Lunardi update

11 seed in Dayton. Cant really argue with this but he does have us lower than almost all others which is just what he does.
