#22 Volleyball vs. #20 Georgia Tech

Panthers take set #2 over the #20 team in the country.

Lund has been brilliant defensively.

Welcomed offense from Norwood, Starks, and Nwokolo.

Vale was always an athlete and she's starting to get that confidence to pair with it.

18-16 Pitt up in the 3rd.

GT getting some good breaks on block deflections, but the ladies are repsonding to every GT run with a balanced offense.

They've held Bergmann to 5 kills, but it's worth noting - our two senior stars have only 6 kills a piece. Our offense has been coming from a lot of new places.

22-17, Pitt.

Get those brooms out - #22 Panthers sweep #20 Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech had won 8 straight coming in to today's match.

Did NOT think we were winning this after how we looked against UVA - they really stepped up today and did without huge offensive nights from their two senior stars.

Bergmann is a elite 6'5 protoype and our defense held her to 5 kills. Unreal.

Vazquez-Gomez is a heck of a player.

She always looked like a specimen - honestly expected more from her in the first part of the year.

Thrilled to see how many different ways she contributed - offense, defense, and even some swagger out there, too.

Looks like she can do it all.Good to see the other Akeo sister back, I always liked her.I like the younger sister as well.I really miss Williams, she was my all time Pitt favorite so far.

Absolutely. Neat seeing Kama back. Having that linkage from era to era is so helpful for a program like ours. Doesn't hurt having that extra Hawaii connection in a state so crazy about the sport, either.

Steph was amazing - every one on the team needs to spend an hour watching tape on her & absorb the variety of her attacks after every practice.

Never seen anyone at this level with the breadth of attacks. She wouldn't just change speeds, she'd set her opponent up to block a certain way and then set her subsequent shots up so the ball would automatically go out of bounds. I miss that so much.
