Didn't we already beat a #1 team on their home pitch this year? Wasn't UVA #1 when we beat them?
I agree. The Clemson players are both skilled and fast.Man this game is a rough one. We are lucky not to be down 2-0 or 3-0. Instead it’s 0-0 in the 36th minute.

Quicker to the ball and pressing Pitt very effectively. If they were more clinical in the final 1/3rd, it would be 3-0. Pitt cleared a couple balls off the goal line and Clemson missed a couple open nets.I agree. The Clemson players are both skilled and fast.
OK soccer experts, do we make the NCAAs for the first time since 1965, at least that is what they said on the broadcast tonight? RPI was 32 before tonight's loss to #1.Lost 1-0. Hopefully we can make the tourney. I'm not ready for this season to end.

It’s a matter of opinion of course but I don’t agree. We looked better in the 2nd half and looked like the fitter team the last 15 minutes. However, we certainly are not as deep as Clemson. This was a lot like the Wake Forest match IMO. Both teams were faster and more skilled.
I also think the short turnaround hurt. Pitt hasn’t yet created the squad depth to have any sort of rotation. Two days of rest after 94 minutes (including the OT) on Sunday resulted in a lot of heavy legs.
Tough one - once they survived to halftime only down 1-0, you thought there was a decent enough chance they could equalize down the stretch. To go 1-2 overall against #1 teams in the country, though, isn't the worst thing in the world. Tough that this one had to come in the ACC semis.
While the NCAAs are ahead and there's still games to be played in 2019, it's clear from watching the team this year that at the top end, we have the talent to play with the best teams in the country. Guys like Kizza, Dexter, Sessock, Petkovic, and Sena could play for almost anyone, and everyone who got minutes this year is projected to return other than Braden Kline on defense. The issue comes when the true top teams in the ACC - the Clemsons, Wakes, and Virginias - have about 15 guys on the roster who have that kind of quality. We don't have that yet, but this could legitimately be a team that's ranked for the entirety of the 2020 season and could legitimately challenge for the ACC title. Scorers like Kizza, especially, don't come around too often and can take a team a long way with his ability to win you games with one strike.
and the PSAC schools all had better facilities.Good synopsis. I will say though that we are talking about the difference between Pitt being Top 15-25 and Top 5. Wake, UVa, Clemson are a notch better but 4 years ago, we were only a notch better than PSAC schools and I honestly mean that
