4-5 penn st with two first round picks

Let's see how they turn out.
How many Pitt alums are in the NFL HOF vs. Nitters??
James from State College recruits pretty good, but on the field, he's still tOSU's little beech.
This. Penn State and Florida have a lot of NFL flops. Per capita, our players probably have as much impact as most any school not named Alabama or Clemson. Even Ohio State players don't have great overall track records as pros.

I would take PSU's college success over the number of former Pitt players in the NFL HOF.

VT had two first rounders this year. And they sucked last year. Do the two first rounders really give VT fans anything to brag about? Same with PSU.

It's cold comfort for fans of a program that produces NFL all-stars but still can't accomplish much on fall Saturdays. As Pitt fans we know that better than anybody.

lastly:

Even Ohio State players don't have great overall track records as pros.

Do you actually believe that to be true? Because it isn't even close to true.

And one of VT's 1st rounders opted out of the 2020 season.

Thank you Captain Obvious. How did they go 4-5 with ALL THAT TALENT? Now go back to your Nit board
Considering two of the three players drafted in the first two rounds for Penn State played a combined total of 4 games. In fact all three combined played 11 games total Oweh was plagued by injuries and missed game this season also. So you can quickly see why Penn State under performed this year.

And yet here we are Pitt fans discussing Penn State's draft picks. Are Penn State fans discussing Pitt's draft picks?

This is a dumb question. Of course not.

But I’d much rather have top 25 finishes and a slew of NFL busts than to tout all our HOFers when we haven’t finished too 25 since most recruits have been alive.
Ok. Of course it would be nice to have all the good stuff.

Seeing Parsons taken at #12 makes me even more irate that we traded up so highly to get Bush.
If you are trading up into the top 10 to get a non-QB, the guy you get has to be an All-Pro. Bush is a good player, but he hasn't really justified a top ten pick, let alone giving up a 2nd and 3rd rounder to trade up.

That said, I don't think Parsons is a good pick there either, and Bush is a better player. Parsons is, by many accounts, a big old bag of red flags off the field. He allegedly groped a teammate after threatening to "Sandusky" him and Ohio State doesn't stop recruiting 5 star prospects who don't have some serious character flaws.

That’s pretty nasty.

Pitt still waiting
Get back to us when your high draft choices start getting measured for gold jackets! We have at least three more coming for sure(Revis, Fitz and AD) and maybe a fourth(Shady) - Ped State...all you do is get measured for is orange jumpsuits.
