Just curious, I haven't watched antenna or over the air TV in decades, so you have to buy some sort of antenna? and it's attached to the TV inside the house, like the old rabbit ears TVs? I don't see many antennas on roofs of houses anymore? But everyone in America can watch for free if they have a digital antenna. Some areas may require a more expensive, higher powered antenna but its free over the air. What I dont understand about those things is werent they supposed to be built into new TVs. My youngest TV is 5 or 6 years old and I dont think it has a way to watch "free TV."
Everyone who cut the cord did so to save money? When everything you want to see is streamed to a dozen different subscriptions, will you be saving?Should have never left.lol
Currently, definitely yes, you’re saving.Everyone who cut the cord did so to save money? When everything you want to see is streamed to a dozen different subscriptions, will you be saving?
This is similar to the one that I have. Brand doesn’t really matter, they all seem pretty much the same. Mass-manufactured cheap Chinese antennas, they work great for a few years then you replace it when it starts to lose reception. It’s about $10-20.Just curious, I haven't watched antenna or over the air TV in decades, so you have to buy some sort of antenna? and it's attached to the TV inside the house, like the old rabbit ears TVs? Of course, it’s only logical pricing wil eventually converge
So is it something like the pre cable days? You just get ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, FOX, CW? Anything else? This is similar to the one that I have. It has a long cord that you just screw into the coax cable input in the back of your TV. At the other end is the rectangular plastic antenna. I ran the cord up the back of a bookshelf that’s near an exterior wall, and then I just have it resting flat on top of the bookshelf. You can’t see it at all. Once you’ve got it in place, you just run a channel scan on your TV and it should pick up all of the over the air channels in HD, including the CW (22.1)
They also make ones for a little extra money that have little things attached to them to help boost the antenna’s range if you live a little further away from the transponders. Just google “HDTV antenna guide” - there are a bunch of resources for cord cutters who have done this.
It wasn't even available then.

Yeah, I get all of those. ABC and PBS can be a little funky for me sometimes up in Butler County, but my exterior wall where the antenna is faces north, and IIRC the ABC transponder is actually south of the city. I’ve gotta mess with it.So is it something like the pre cable days? You just get ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, FOX, CW? Anything else?
Since the switch from an analog signal to the digital one, the available channels have multiplied significantly, in most markets. You can even attach an old set of rabbit ears to your TV if you're close enough to the sources. Go into your TV's set-up menu and have it scan for available signals. In the Richmond market, there are roughly 47 digital channels (or, sub-channels) available the last time I checked. Of course, it's worth noting that the local CBS affiliate now uses six sub channels. The ABC and NBC affiliates use multiple sub channels, too. Even some familiar cable channels, like ION, are being broadcast over the air now. There are also Spanish language channels in our area. That said, in most markets there will be a CW signal, and, just like with any over the air broadcaster, you cannot stream. It's live or nothing. So is it something like the pre cable days? I'm assuming that you were in a similar situation as me. The CW affiliate changed ownership in my area and the new affiliate didn't have an agreement with YouTube TV as yet. So, the CW along with the Cincy game wasn't available to view on YTTV in my area.I have YTT, and knew it had CW and assumed I would be able to watch the Cincy game, but was not able to.
Yep, you're correct. I was in the same boat also.Regarding YTTV and The CW, it depends where you live and if the CW affiliate in your area is offered. I wasn’t able to watch the Cincy game on YTTV because the local CW affiliate in my area isn’t available (I had to use a buddy’s Hulu TV account). I do suspect that I am in one of those rare areas of the country, but it’s not accurate to say that just because you have YTTV you get CW.

YouTube TV has now worked out an agreement with CW and I'm now able to view CW again on YouTube TV. This occurred couple weeks ago. So, you may want to check again to see if it's now on in your area. Virginia at BC is on tomorrow afternoon at 2ET on CW.
Just STOP ✋️That's why I asked him if he lived in Pittsburgh and he said yes. What happened is he didn't attempt to watch it live. He just set all Pitt games to record but it didn't record.....as I said happens sometimes. That's not a CW thing, its a YTTV glitch in that it didnt recognize it to record. Probably did have something to do with how CW coded the game so yea, I guess you can blame them. But if he went to the YouTube TV app and clicked on the CW channel during the game, he would have seen the game. It wouldn't have said "this event is blacked out."
I have my Comcast set to record all Pitt games, but I always double check, sometimes the game isn't set to be recorded, because as you said, it's coded, "college football" and not specifically "Pitt"That's why I asked him if he lived in Pittsburgh and he said yes. Yeah no NCST - Marshall game for me today on yttv
Just a thought....if you have a "Custom" live guide, you may need to go into the app and check ✔️ the new CW channel in order to view it.Yeah no NCST - Marshall game for me today on yttv
Well YTTV sent me an email when CW was no longer available and also sent an email when it was again available. So, if you received no email then maybe it's not available to you. It’s not shown on the live guide and I’ve done the custom channel list from the web on my yttv profile.
Still nothing here in Central PA

Their antenna coverage is estimated to be around 99% of the US population. That’s not true, everyone in America does not get cw
what was on the CW channel then? Buffy?I have YTT, and knew it had CW and assumed I would be able to watch the Cincy game, but was not able to.
You truly are a moron.I literally watched a few minutes on YouTube TV. What did it say when you clicked on the CW? You guys are doing something wrong. Go to the live guide and click on The CW
You truly are a moron.

Because ... IT ISNT THERE!Dude, you didnt go to the live guide and click on The CW. You can call me names all you want but you didnt do it. You wont tell me what it said when you clicked on it. Hmmm......wonder why.
Because ... IT ISNT THERE!
I don't live in the "Pittsburgh area" and I unlike you am not an fin moron. You probably filtered it out in the "custom guide." Believe me, you are not the only person in Pittsburgh that doesn't have 22 the Point on YTTV. YTTV didnt make that error only on your account. That's the other thing you are probably doing wrong, when you look at the live guide and scroll through the channels, its a 22 the point logo, not a CW logo.

I DO NOT HAVE IT ..
If you live in Central PA (Johnstown/Altoona/State College) the CW is not available on YTTV for live viewing. This is 100% a fact and no one is doing anything wrong. It is a sub channel of WJAC, the NBC affiliate and not on YTTV. The CW library is available if you search for CW but you cannot watch any live programming, including the ACC package.
The only services in the market area that offer the channel are Comcast, one other small cable system and HULU TV. An antenna probably wouldn’t do most people any good either due to the mountains.
Let’s put this to bed.
This can't be right, because SMF knows what stations every person in America gets.

Those of us with Fubo TV can't watch the game either. I get KDKA plus which I think used to be the CW but maybe I'm wrong.Correct but Jeffburgh said he lives in Western PA and has watched the CW before. YouTube TV doesn't have WJAC Channel 6.4 like you said.
