I don't think many of us are surprised about the beating we're taking right now. I know we're all disappointed, but not surprised.

Honestly - this is exactly the wrong kind of team for us to be playing this year, especially in game 3. We simply don't have the talent and OSU is just the team to magnify every one of our weaknesses (which are many). I don't know how far in advance schedules are made, but this is may be the worst possible matchup for us this year. We might have a better chance against Alabama than these guys, just based on their style of play.

You have to be concerned about the mental state of the team after this one.

And what a bad day to have so many big recruits in for visits. This doesn't bode well for the next 2 recruiting classes.

Problem moving forward - I don't see much reason for optimism for next year. We still don't have any linebackers and unless someone steps up this year, no quarterback either.

I think this is who Pitt is now a team that is almost never top 25 who gets killed by most really good teams and might be able to upset someone.

The fan support is dreadful but it is deserved. Local talent doesn't want to stay here and barring some miracle coaching hire (who decides to stay) this is who we are.

I think this might be the lowest Pitt sports as a whole has been since the 90s.

I said many times this was our toughest game. Even mocked CBS picking this as a possible upset. I didn't expect it to be this bad. I think at the end of the season, the clock will start ticking on PN after this year but he probably bought himself another two years barring horrible performance like this moving forward.

lol why do you think this wont occur again and again this season?

It's ok to have a lot of three star recruits , but you need some really talented guys if you ever want to compete or in this case not embarrass yourself .
The mistake Pitts big wigs miss is that not thinking this type of representation doesn't negatively affect their image .

I was getting text messages during the game from local Pitt alumni blasting me for being critical of them for not backing the program.

No more series against power 5 conference teams. We're now something like 4-20 since moving to Heinz. These games don't move the needle for fans and just rack up demoralizing losses. Start scheduling the easiest 1aa schools we can find and nab Sun Belt and MAC teams for the rest. We'll still lose a few but not like this. We just needs wins.

It's a bad matchup and they don't move the needle at all judging by the attendance. Not good scheduling.
