what a terrible, inexcusable call. Phantom offsides against UNC on an onsides kick, which they recover. No one even close to being offsides. Forced to re-kick, and Clemson recovers.

UNC and its apologists can blame the officials all they want, but I think just maybe the fact that Clemson rolled up over 600 yards on them to their 380 might have had some small roll in the outcome.

Clemson was steamrolling UNC, but UNC fought back & should have been allowed the opportunity to try and take the game to overtime. The game is stopped to scrutinize if the ball is marked at the right spot, a receiver maintains possession of a catch, but a blatantly wrong call by the officials can't be questioned, then something is wrong.

Wouldn't look good for the conference if the #1 team lost. The refs had to make sure the outcome was correct.

Maybe Pitt would have had 9 wins if the ACC REFS weren't the worst officials OF ALL TIME!!!

I'm not sure who was worse this year - B1G or ACC ref's. Some amazingly incompetent and head scratching officiating. The question is why? Obviously officiating is inexact, but IMHO it appears to have hit an all-time low this year with calls that had direct impact on the outcome of games.

BE refs did the same for WVU in the 13-9 game. How you guys won under those restrictions is among college football's great accomplishments
