SMU is OUT

No way they make it. This doesn't look like one of the best 11/12 teams. Sucks Clemson has to get the 12 seed though.

SMU has 0 wins against the current Top 25. They are only 2-1 (if they lose to Clemson) vs ACC Top 7. Schedule was very weak.

The school who I dont think should be granted this auto bid is Indiana. Also 0 wins vs curent Top 25. 0-1 vs B10 Top 6. 1-1 vs B10 Top 8. IU essentially played OSU and 11 mid-majors. So similar to SMU but IU gets a ton of credit for not forfeitting the game to OSU.

For me, Bama is in. The UGa win today helps them as they now have a win over the SEC Champ and 2 overall seed. It would be between SMU and IU but they said they arent re-ranking so they really cant push Bama ahead of IU. This is why I dont think you should rank teams ahead of time.
Wrong as usual. This record is on constant repeat

Penn St’s road a little trickier. I’d much rather play Clemson than SMU. I think they beat either but SMU will score on them.

I’ll guess Oregon over ND for the title but I have no idea.

SMU was like -390 to make it last night. Wasn't much suspense.

I said before the game that I thought 10 was the magic number. As long as they kept it within 10, I think they were in.

One other thing that makes no sense, why do the lower teams get home games but like Oregon doesn’t. I would make the bowls the 1st round, home games for the top 4, and then back to the bowls

Do you ever get tired of these predictions?

Man, is Nick Saban pissed off that Alabama got left out.

Hey Nick, if your team beats even one of the two teams that finished 6-6 and tied for 11th in the conference and 6-6 and tied for 14th in the conference you wouldn't be having this problem.

Should be home games until the Final Four. Then play the Final Four all at one venue like college basketball. Monday at 4, get everyone out. Monday at 9:30 (teams not in Eastern time zone where possible). Then the following Monday for the championship. No need to use share money with bowl games.

I really wish GT could have held on against UGA. That would have done wonders for the ACC's perception.

Reseeding after each round, like the NFL does, makes the most sense... but you leave a lot of money on the table if you do that, because filling these brackets out is going to be big.

He said the best teams are in & no coach should have any complaint.

Franklin has never coached in a game of this magnitude. I wouldn’t underestimate Dabo’s experience in big games.

Yeah, after he ranted and raved about strength of schedule and why should teams schedule tough non-conference games if the committee is going to pick teams this way and all that he felt the need to soften the blow by saying things like that and the committee did a good job and all.

It's pretty clear that he really meant the first part when he was doing all the bitching, and just as clear that he didn't mean a word of it when he said the committee did a good job.

Both parts of what he said can be true.

Maybe a Middle School somewhere in Eastern PA?

Right again. You can’t miss.

Yeah, and it's also theoretically possible that someone could believe both.

I mean clearly not him, but someone else.

The man is clearly not stupid. Dude still has an office at Bryant-Denney & still spends some time in T-town. He's gotta give the Bammers a little something to stay in their good graces. I feel fairly certain he's not pissed about and is fully aware 2 of their 3 losses were horrible losses for any team with playoff aspirations.

Dude isn't a bad actor.

They lost by 23 points and it could have been worse. They had a good first quarter, but they did not give Ohio State a game. It was domination after like the first ten minutes.
Penn State got outscored 20-3 after the first quarter at home, so there is a similarity..

Penn State was up 10-7 after the first quarter. They lost 20-13. No, they never got dominated like Indiana did.

Do you want to tell me that Penn State got outscored in the even-numbered minutes so they're kind of the same thing next?

I said they got outscored 20-3 after having a 1st qtr lead at home as Indiana had on the road... 20-3 is borderline domination.

You said they got outscored 20-3 after the first quarter. Yes, they did get outscored 20-3 after the first ten points were scored. They also never trailed by more than 7 points, so I don't know how anyone could consider those games to be even remotely similar.

Is Beck out for Georgia? Based on precedent of what happened to FSU last year, if Beck is hurt, Georgia should be no higher than the 5 seed, right?
Georgia's offense played better without Beck. You or I could have qb'd FSU last year and we would have had the same results as their backup QBs.

Dead wrong...☠️
All wrong...☹️
Always wrong....😳

In short... WRONG as per usual....
