ACC Schedule released... UVA is the Aug. 31 opponent

It's college football, you always lose players. The OL everyone is worried about replacing was a major question mark last offseason.

D should be better, schedule is easier, 7 home games. New OC who should be an upgrade over Watson. No reason not to expect more wins than last year.

Heck you know I’m a big homer and I think there is no chance we beat UCF. They had so much speed I can’t see ya scoring a ton

Every conference member plays at least one FCS opponent, VT plays two, URI and Furman. Every school plays at least one P5 opponent OOC (ACC requirement). Several play two: BC (Kansas and Rutgers), Clemson (Texas A&M and SCar), UL (ND and UK), Duke (Bama and ND), and UNC (SCar and Wake). Notably, Pitt and FSU play UCF and Boise St., respectively, in addition to a P5 opponent.

Interesting, ND/UCF/Boise technically not P5, but are all better than a lot of P5 teams.

So pitt noon games against OU and Delaware? Smh. Oh well, we got a real opponent on Labor Day weekend opener, I can’t complain. I

How are you guys seriously saying 8-10 wins? We have a QB that has no pocket presence and struggles to throw. We have a completely new/inexperienced OL to protect our happy feet QB. We have a new OC who relies heavily on throwing the ball apparently.

How does that add up as a recipe for success to any of you? If Narduzzi/Whipple can get 9-10 wins, he should be ACC coach of the year. This staff has their work cut out for them this year.

Because I choice to be optimistic instead of miserable. If the season plays out bad it plays out bad, but I want to be optimistic instead of miserable or why be a fan at all.

. I give due credit for the mid season streak but attribute it more to poor defensive coaching by our opponents. It should never have worked.

I disagree with this statement. I thought it was finally the good coaching of Watson. Other than the Albany and WF games the all other wins was Watson accepting we were a power run football team and just going with it. That lead to victories. All the losses are the games where Watson tried putting the ball in Picketts hands with passing or RPO. Even the ND game, we ran that ball down their throat only to stop and pass at the end and lose. There was not one team that stopped the power run game this year including Clemson (not saying we dominated them with running it but they where not shutting it down either. Pitt wouldn't have won but could have kept it closer if they just ran it more). The only team that stopped Pitts power run game was Pitt itself.

If you think about it, it makes sense too. Every team is set up to stop spread attacks and RPO. They are not used to the pressure of a constant downhill attack and they buckle to that pressure.

Just curious why you didn't include any dates in October for the Bucco's. Are you implying that there will not be a playoff run this year? LOL LOL

Well f it then, 12-0 and we need to start the Kenny Heisman campaign again.

I'm down for throwing logic out the window if that's what real fans do. It's not being misserable, it's using what you've seen and projecting the future.

Here's another example. AJ Davis has been terrible. Logic tells me he'll continue to be terrible. Haven't seen Sibley and Salahuddin. Being an optimistic fan, I still hold out hope that they can be great.

Not a good schedule in my opinion.

We should play a team the first game that we can lay a beat down on.

Lots of home games in Sept and not many in Oct and Nov.

UVA or any conf games isn't a good starting game!

I give him credit for trying it. But it should have been pretty easy to stop.

considering the conference is giving Pitt 35 million dollars a year and a TV channel , I think its ok they play Virgina the first game...

What is the year to year 2018 vs 2019) incremental increase in conference $.

The TV Channel is a good thing and hopefully that will boost conference revenue.

Not sure why the schedule had to be "screwed " around unless the idea was to promote the TV channel which could have be accomplished without the schedule change.

We tried that, ACC made us move the Delaware game to serve the purpose for the new ACC Network.
So their is no fault on Pitt's part in all this
