ACC Women’s Soccer Tourney

Will be the top 8 teams. If Pitt beats Wake Forest on Sunday, we will be in a 5 or 6 way tie for 5th. depending on whether VT wins. The tiebreaker is goal differential, which is bad for us. Right now, we are last in goal differential.

The commentator on the ACC games yesterday made a good point. He noted that two of Pitt’s 4 losses have been in OT, and we get no credit for them. He thought OT losses should either be worth 1 point or be the first tiebreaker.

I still don’t understand why the tourney is in the Fall but the season continues in the Spring, when most conferences will be playing.

They are only allowed to play so many games, and they used them all up but 2 in the fall. playing the likes of theCitadel twice. It's one of the reasons they canceled the Syracuse game at the end of the year, or they would only have been allowed to play 1.

UNC and Duke played a game on ACC network but claimed the game didn't count. Does the NCAA or ACC count that game or not? I assume NC State gets a full schedule since they didn't play this fall, with limited ACC games, what will these schedules look like.

I don't think Pitt should have played App State twice, Citadel twice.
