Team Narduzzi definitely has more depth and enough top-end talent to win. However, playing devil's advocate: Team Wanny has two, maybe three, future Hall of Famers. I'm not sure Team Duzz has one.
These types of questions definitely are off season topics but I think the narduzzi playmakers on offense are more explosive than the wanny era ones. Additionally 2021 pickett and that offense (which you included izzy and Addison) was so much more dynamic than palko. Yes the dline of wanny had AD which is trouble...but I just think pickett offense would win out.

I felt like we could’ve beat any team in the country with Pickett at QB, so I’m inclined to agree with you… that Addison/Revis matchup would be must-see.

So Narduzzi’s Defense is going to be playing with 6 D linemen.Shady and Dion rush for about 400 yards.

Wanny ain't running no 3-4. Get Lindsey off of there and put Mick Williams in there. Playing Aaron in a 3-4 is like putting Peyton Manning in a triple option offense.

Was going to post the same thing about swapping Mick for Lindsey. Brandon was a solid player but Mick was BE DPoY. Plus having a Wanny team run a 3-4 makes no sense.

Overall I think 2021 Pickett and Addison could swing the game, but a DL of AD, Mick, Sheard, and Romeus - with Revis erasing half the field behind them - would be a tall order. Think 2018 Kenny passing for 8 yards against that Clemson front four.

I hear ya, and I figured this would come up. I was just trying to get the best 11 players on the field. Only went with the 3-4 because it allowed me to get those four LBs on the field.

I’ll make the switch.

Boyd played 1 year for Duzz and Donald never played for Wanny.

Team Wanny...

Good list, but there had to have been 3 better TEs than Krull under Narduzzi right? Ordoff and Batholomew come to mind.
Good call. I went with Krull because he’s in the NFL right now and did well with Kenny in 2021, but I think you’re right on with Gavin B.

I’m going to make the switch. I welcome the input from others on the board! Makes for a fun discussion.

Charles Spencer should be on the starting 5 for DW.
I definitely think you can make the argument for him. Not sure who you’d take off Wanny’s line, though.

On a side note, I hate what happened with Spencer. Who knows what he could’ve done in the NFL had he not snapped his leg… :(

It’s also interesting to see that we’re at an even 20-20 heading into the new week… that surprises me a little.

Pinkston - 5th round pick
Malecki - UDFA
Nix - UDFA
McGlynn - 4th round pick

Charles was a 3rd round pick after only playing 2 seasons on the OL. I'd take him over all of those guys. Otah was a 1st rounder but Charles was a better athlete with a higher upside.

Let’s add an All-Walt lineup. We would have Revis vs Fitzgerald.

Pinkston - 5th round pick
Malecki - UDFA
Nix - UDFA
McGlynn - 4th round pick

Ok, I’ll swap out Malecki for Spencer; Nix at least started ten games in the NFL and could play center in this lineup.

Good idea. The problem with this is that you begin to have some overlap between the All-Walt and All-Wanny teams (e.g., Palko and Revis). I guess you give those two to Wanny since they played longer under him?

Wanny couldn't win a watered down Big East despite the talent he had during his Pitt head coaching span, so I voted for Narduzzi.

Only way Hendrix is participating in this is if he buys a ticket. I think he's more in the 12-15 range of best DEs in the Narduzzi era.
