I cannot believe he got in over Bentley, especially with a losing record and losing to Atkins, who Bentley beat 3 times this year. That dual meet pin must have weighed really heavy in the decision.
On a side note, does anyone know if you can bet on NCAA wrestling in Vegas? This kid will get mauled by the #1 seed in the tournament.
He won’t necessarily wrestle the no. 1 seed. They only seed 16 and then everyone else is randomly drawn.
Norstrem most likely got the nod because he had the better RPI and he won the head-to-head. Those are two of the top criteria. If Bentley doesn’t get pinned in the dual, he might be in - him not getting in is on him - not the NCAA.
Ah-oh! Rahmani is set up to be THAT guy this year. He had a close match at the ACC championship with Hidlay. If Hidlay gets tight and Rahmani can get by him, most of the rest of the field doesnt know him and the crazy stuff he throws.
Zanetta lost a very close match in the final seconds against the kid from Cornel also at the Midlands. The kid from Cornel is a freshman so I suspect he has matured.
