Athlon’s has Pitt vs. Alabama in the Orange Bowl

Wow, these projections are ridiculous.

I don't think Anthlon's is known too much for their accuracy on these things. Brett McMurphy is pretty good and has been saying Music City for a while, but obviously keep winning and that improves.

Although that would get us on the national radar pretty quickly to at least hang with them for a while on the big stage of the Orange Bowl.

On paper they would pound PITT, but then again on paper the peds should have pounded PITT.

Lets put it this way, if we win our next 5, it is very likely we end up in the Orange Bowl. So the writer probably feels we win our next 5.

You think Bama would get up for a non playoff bowl game? They’ve laid eggs in that type of game before.

Athlon's ? Lol you mean the Athlon's that had tiny Tommy DeVito as pre season 3rd team all ACC qb? killer!

Alabama offense was not the same without tua, if hes out for the year would they burn his brothers red shirt im wondering? His brother is supposed to be better than him.

Given the Duzz's knack for knocking off big time ranked opponents I ain't scared of no one...not even Bama. The opportunity to play the Tide might even be enough motivation for the Panthers to show up and actually play 2 decent halves. Not to mention the fact that the Bama players will be working through the grieving process of finishing their season by playing Pitt in the Orange Bowl. Great bowl match up...would love to see it happen.

9-3 and a decent bowl is the acceptable minimum at this point and with this schedule. Eventually, they have to take a (at least) small step forward

I'd give Pitt a chance in a bowl game like that only because a lot of Bama guys might skip with nothing to play for. It would be Pitt's Super Bowl but a letdown for Bama.

Seriously though, it's way too early to think about it.

yes, that’s why I said it, partly in jest but half of Alabama’s team will be training for the nfl draft.

it's better to make it to a big bowl and get pounded than play in the Circle K Bowl every year on Dec 10th.

No one ever said that dipping our toe back into national prominence would be easy
On this I agree. Like getting into the ACCCG last year and getting pounded by Clemson was well worth it. We got a division title and a spot on conference championship Saturday. And playing NYD vs. Bama would mean we already have 9 or 10 wins, so I take that.

It's be interesting to finish our first ever 7-7 season with our first ever 9-5 season. Would mean we made the conference title game at least.

Acceptable minimum. I love it. Very few fans predicted more than 6 or 7 wins before the season started. You could look it up. I was an outlier when I predicted 9 or 10 wins.
