He did in the 4th quarter, not the main reason, as talent on D is as bad as it was under Majors 2.

I agree but the conservative play calling and 3 and outs didn't help. When the D is this bad the offense needed to be able to help put the game away.

When you know your defense is bad... then your offense can't go into a conservative shell and end the game wth three straight 3 and outs.

So yes... taking their foot off the gas DID lose the game.

We known our D is bad.. that's why the O has to stay aggressive regardless of score.

0-4 on 3rd downs in the 4th quarter. In money time the offense went into the crapper, and ridiculous play calling again was a factor.

Also Pitt's defense as a whole is bad, if they had a consistent pass rush the bad secondary could be hidden a bit. But our d linemen weren't getting close to their qb, he had all day. Even with blitzing they couldn't consistently get to him
