Backyard Brawl returning 2022

Great, now the hoopies are going to crawl back to the board to joke on the Pittsburgh accent. I'm sure this will really impact the lives of many...
Hey all, I'm an Iowa fan but looking forward to the return of the Backyard Brawl. Question: What's a "hoopie" and where did it come from? My wife went to WVU, and I'd like to use it against her. Thanks in advance.

Hoopie is the person who would pound down the iron or steel rings for a cooper or keg maker to put around their wooden barrels.

i.e. menial dumba$$

Makes sense, thank you, but if I call my wife a menial dumbass, I'll be sleeping on the couch. In any case, I'm glad to see the series will be renewed. I always enjoyed that game.

I was gonna say I'd much rather play WVU than Penn State, but you know what... they can both just go away. I've never had a problem at WVU, well that's not true there was one almost fight, but other than that the fans I met were more than welcoming.
Reading what some of these people say though makes me remember the few fans I have met that were just like them. I saw it was quoted but never saw the original, but that post that mentioned Tyler Boyd and his mom was about the most disgusting and stupid thing I've ever read.
To even ask how many crimes Boyd can commit in one night must mean they don't even know what a crime is (which isn't really surprising at all actually.) If they were calling for Boyd to be suspended longer, then WVU would've had a really hard time fielding a team each of the past 20 years using that logic.
But of course the reference is to a 20 year old kid getting a DUI. Because despite all the crimes WVU players have committed, it's pretty hard to get a DUI driving a tractor.
