I saw excerpts this morning. I thought that this one might provide educational value to most Trump haters on the board.

JAN CRAWFORD: Well, I mean, he seemed to suggest yesterday that there was another venue for this and that was Congress.

WILLIAM BARR: Well, I am not sure what he was suggesting but, you know, the Department of Justice doesn't use our powers of investigating crimes as an adjunct to Congress. Congress is a separate branch of government and they can, you know, they have processes, we have our processes. Ours are related to the criminal justice process we are not an extension of Congress's investigative powers.

I saw excerpts too. Barr's answers seem solidly grounded. He's a bright guy.

I think its curious that for 2+ years when ever anyone mentioned that Mueller,Comey,and Rosenstein were involved in investigating Trump, it kept getting stated they are Republicans, how is it politically motivated ?

Now that the DOJ which is run by an R appointee wants to investigate Rs, its political enemies all of a sudden.

When the shoe was on the other foot, not so much.

That’s an unsurprising partisan take.

When warrants are sought and granted to watch somebody taking with a foreign government- it’s a partisan witch-hunt.

When the newly appointed ag- who’s made a career of being a political hatchet man is directed to investigate the investigators-
It’s an on the level non-political agenda.

I pointed out the irony and hypocrisy of Barr’s statements.
Because you have to be an idiot to not connect the dots .
And I assume most aren’t.

Like I said- keep the meuller investigation front and center from now until nov 2020.

It sure doesn’t help Trump!

Comey testified to this and was all over national TV making the claim that Lynch instucted him to classify the Clinton investigation as a "matter" not an investigation.

The IG report will be out soon, Trump will continue to classify docs, and Barr is finding the as he said "things aren't hanging together."

Clapper, Brennan, Comey, Rice, "Buckey" the female FBI agent, her lover, maybe McCabe will be needing some really good attorneys.

Can't wait!

You apparently missed all of the news that the FISA warrants may have been less than honest. It probably never made your sources, though.

If/when you watch the Barr interview, please inform us of how he using his political hatchet.

Yours is the unsurprising partisan take. Mine is the non-partisan anti-government trust view.

Gave him a 10 point bump. You made my point. Trump is a first term President,the incumbent,a 10 point bump will guarantee his re-election.

Trump is Trump being attacked. Gore wasn't Clinton being attacked.

If Trump gets to 55-60 approval rate or even close,its over if the economy rides it out.

I'm cool with that 100% if every member of Congress that have become multimillionaires on 130-175 k a year are looked at also.
Let's open it all up.

And go back and do Obama,Bush,and Clinton. Let's look at their net worth before the Presidency then 2 years after and see what's up.
