Best Case, Worst Case, Expected Case for Iowa

It's pretty depressing to think the idiot Wanny could beat the idiot Ferentz. Iowa defines mediocre in the B10. They are literally a .500 program in the B10. That said... they are a perfect out-of-conference opponent for Pitt. Close, boring games which Pitt finding a way to lose in the 4th quarter.

I bet you are a blast at parties.

I was pretty upset we lost to Iowa last year, I thought we had the better team and it was at home. But close, boring games? Every recent Iowa game was close yes, but I found them rather exciting.
The 2008 game we won 21-20 at home. One of the more exciting non-conference games of the Wanny era. The 2011 game the Fraud high-octane offense actually worked for most of the game. Iowa came back but it wasn't a boring game by any means. Even last year, we blew the lead but had a chance to drive down and win at the end.
I'd say these are two similar programs that play close, tough football games. A home game at night for Iowa makes this year a very hard game for Pitt, but I look for another exciting game, probably with both team's defenses being the key though.

You nailed your prediction. I like watching Pitt, they play HARD.

Can't argue that. Much more enjoyable team to watch than in the past. Last year, it was fun watching their offense, but I think went to the concession stand everytime we were on defense, it was bad.
Nothing about that loss last night had to do with effort. Can't really complain when the kids leave it all out there for 60 minutes. Peterman will not have early game jitters soon and we will be fine.

To quote Norm Parker an ex-Iowa DC....Last night's game was a real "slobberknocker." Both these teams beat the crap out of each other. Narduzzi will never allow his teams to not compete hard all the time. Offensively, Pitt will become more confident. That #23 for Pitt is the real deal. This year's Iowa team is playing with some urgency.....something not seen here in 3-4 years. We shall see what we shall see.....Good luck, guys. May you guys get/stay healthy. It's a good series.
