All we heard was how great the Big 12 and Big 10 were this year. The ACC in a down year will still have more teams in the Sweet 16 than either one. The PAC12 clearly didn’t get enough respect.

This is going to give the P5 conferences and teams even more motivation to unlevel the playing field. Transfers rules today. Paying players tomorrow. All we heard was how great the Big 12 and Big 10 were this year. The ACC in a down year will still have more teams in the Sweet 16 than either one. Doesn't it generate more $$$ for leagues when teams advance? Or, no?Every year people say this conference is overrated and this conference is underrated.
It really doesn't matter. Each team is individually responsible for their own play.
If the ACC does well or not in the NCAA's means nothing to Pitt.
The only thing that matters to Pitt is that they are watching on TV again and not playing.
Yes it does, I was referring in terms of people's perception of Pitt basketball.Doesn't it generate more $$$ for leagues when teams advance? Or, no?

I would agree about PITT in particular, but if the ACC is doing well it permeates. Perception is reality.Yes it does, I was referring in terms of people's perception of Pitt basketball.
You think that all of the people who voted in the polls, and had those teams highly ranked, were Big 10 alums? Michigan, Illinois, OSU, and Iowa were in the top 10 all year and they underperformed in the tournament. That doesn’t mean they weren’t deserving of those rankings. The Big Ten is a joke. You can just copy and paste this comment every single year they get hyped as the best conference because they will never justify that praise. It's just a bunch of Bob Smizik level intellects pumping their alma maters.

The Big 10 had a great regular season, and an abysmal showing in the tourney. Both can be true. It doesn't necessarily mean they weren't worthy of their seeding. Anything can happen in a one & done, and they lost 3 OT games & Rutgers absolutely choked & gagged away another one. It happens.
UVA lost by 20 to a 16 seed as a #1 and then turned around and won the whole thing the next year in the same situation. And they had more than their share of luck to win those last 3 games. If you knock the 8 ball in just after the break, you don't get to re-rack it. It is what it is.
Big 10 had the benefit of playing all league games, watch Michigan lose to Fld St, Fld St is better , next year more of the same , over hyped teams losing in the tournament, save this post
