was fun to watch about 3 years ago.
Now its dumb.
WTF are these coaches thinking ?

The problem with the offenses that they run is they struggle to run out the clock at the end of a game. No lead is safe.

I like this OK State quarterback. Just a one-year starter, but I hope the Steelers take a flyer if he is available with a later pick.

Those games are fun if you are impartial, or never played or coached defense before, because you know it will be the closest thing to a live action video game. Back n forth, back n forth, epic scoring plays all throughout.

WVU doesn’t really fit with the Big 12. I guess in terms of playing style they do, but who is their rivalry week game against? Iowa State? They’ve got to be at least 500 miles from the closest school in that conference. When the realignment happened that was such a random conference for them to join.

Well, the rivalry thing is true for us. Some of the geographical thing too, not to the same extreme.

Beggars couldnt be choosers, ultimately.

I won't argue a high profile northeast conference that included Pitt, WVU, Cuse, PSU (pre-Sandusky scandal) , MD, BC, and then a couple others a bit out of range like Miami for spice, wouldn't have been preferable to me as an older fan, in the long run. Closer to our setup as independents in our better years (also when I came of age as a fan). Others lament having to break up the Old Big East for basketball, and I miss that as well.

But that's just not how things went. So what we have is the next best thing for both.

Yeah I get why it happened. They didn’t have the academics for the ACC or Big 10. Not far enough south for the SEC. Just kind of random. I’m also still not completely used to Pitt being an ACC school.

Louisville had enough academics to get in the ACC,they're the Harvard of the South?I hate the Big12 in football but like it in BB.I don't like the last team with the ball wins philosophy of Big 12 football, except yesterday.Wvu didn't lose yesterday we just ran out of time by 20 seconds.

WVU in the Big 12 is ridiculous. They need to be added to the ACC along with ND. The following format would be ideal.

ACC North:
Syracuse
BC
Pitt
WVU
ND
Louisville
Virginia
Va Tech

ACC South
UNC
Wake
NC State
Duke
Clemson
FSU
Ga Tech
Miami

And split the divisions up into 2 pods of 4 teams. You play everyone in your pod each year + 2 teams from each of the other pods.
This results in 9 conference games + 3 OOC games.

Pitt doesn't have a rivalry week game either. Miami? that was never a rival.

If Paterno hadn't been a dick, the Eastern League should've been...

Pitt
Penn State
Syracuse
WVU
BC
VT
ND
Rutgers
Temple
UConn
Miami

The weekend showcased numerous bizarre aspects. Our very first game with Wake Forest? Both notable in the historical context but more the idea that it takes so long to see teams in the other division of the ACC; it may as well be different conference. Won't it be like 7 more years until they're in Pgh or whatever?

UCF and Cincy being a primetime ABC game?

Alabama and Georgia playing soup can IAA teams in November?

Kansas hired Les Miles? More accurately, Les Miles agreed to go to Kansas?

Harvard dude busted for flipping off a defender and TD taken away?

Seeing Maryland playing as a B10 team still doesn't quite register with me either. You wonder if one little point will end up keeping Canada from getting that gig (cuz theyll likely 'turtle' to PSU like usual...tOSU was his Big Shot).

And if MD passes does he just move over to Rutgers (oh, right, Rutgers is gonna have Narduzzi).

The last couple minutes of the WV OSU game were fun to watch though.

WVU closest Big 12 conference member is Iowa State. I read somewhere that they are 1,050 miles apart.

Yeah, but you can say "academics" all you want but we also brought in Louisville. WVU makes sense in the ACC. Obviously, the rivalry with Pitt. But natural rivalries with VT and old ones with Syracuse, Miami and BC. Also, Virginia and the Carolina schools are easy drives.

As for the football, having an occasional game like they (the Big 12) play is fun, but when every game is like that, it is like Arena football and I feel those results are cheapened by the sheer lack of emphasis on defensive football.

Why not, it was truly the most interesting game. If you show an SEC or B1G matchup, you could show a replay of a game from 5 years ago and 50% of the viewers wouldn't notice because it's "same old/same old".

Give a penalty on the kickoff. Taking a TD away leads to a FAKE OUTCOME, then it's not a real sport anymore. You just said what was REAL didn't happen, hate that PC nonsense.
