What’s funny is Rutgers is on top of the Big Ten in baseball,Lacrosse, soccer and did extremely well well in big ten basketball, just not in football yet.
For 1, nobody cares about those sports. Rutgers baseball won 44 games and couldn't even get an NCAAT bid because Big Ten baseball is so bad. Did you actually reference lacrosse? How about bowling and darts?

Because they are stupid and thought Rutgers delivered NJ and NYC when it clearly doesn't. It was a mistake but a mistake the Big Ten could easily withstand.
Do you not realize that the reason they were invited is because all of the citizens were charged the extra fee for their cable packages? Whether they watched or not…and in the case of Rutgers, they didn’t watch.

And I'm pretty good at playing the recorder, but somehow I just can't qualify for the 100m at the Summer Olympics... yet.

Yep and they didnt need Rutgers games to get BTN get on cable systems in NJ. Nobody cares about Rutgers. PSU is NJ's team.

The Big 10 and the SEC will both expand to 20 teams giving them a total of 40. They will have their own championship series with 12 teams from the 40 being involved. The media will crown their champion the “National Champion”. The two conferences will write their own rules and in fact become one of the greatest professional sports enterprises in the history of everything. They will control pay structure, scholarship numbers, coaching and administrative positions in terms of how many. They will instigate their own rules for transfers in and severance packages for athletes that aren’t relevant

It’s going to be so bodacious that the only other sport that will matter will be the NFL. In 10 years you will just shit yourself as to what college football looks like. Of course Pitt and West Virginia will be still touting the backyard brawl but nobody will care. The rest of college football will unfortunately look like the leader board at the John Deere Classic. Faceless !!!
