Right now I'd say:

CFP: SMU/Miami winner (dont think we get 2 now)

Jax/Orlando: SMU/Miami loser

Jax/Orlando: Clemson

Charlotte: Louisville

Pinstripe: Pitt

Holiday: VT/Syr

Sun: Duke

Probably need to go 9-3 and then have the ACC get 2 in the CFP to get Jax/Orlando.

If you aren't in the playoffs, then why go to a bowl? How many people will opt out of a meaningless bowl game again?
These bowl games have now become the college football version of the NIT.

I look forward to the day a whole team demands payment to play in a bowl game.

Bowls are going to start paying players shortly. I mean they already give them about $1000 worth of goods so they'll just pay some guys like $5000 and maybe the better players more. They will pay the conferences less because of this.

I am so looking forward to the playoffs starting. I can almost guarantee you that there will be at least one player on one of the teams that qualify, who will threaten to sit out if they are not paid "extra"for their participation in a post season game.
It is then, the "poop" will hit the fan!

No there won't. Players want to win championships. That's why there's never been anyone threaten to sit out the CFP. Players are opt out of regular bowls because they are exhibitions and they dont want to risk injury in a meaningless game.

Money talks.

Give it time, it WILL happen. Players may want to win "championships", but making what they feel is " big money" is far more important to most of them.

Narduzzi said pitt is doing NIL different. Kids get paid at end of season. Probably includes something about bowls and no paris fording

It's a business. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if it happened. I'm sure there's a handler out there somewhere that's going to put the TV revenue numbers out there and but the idea in some kids head.

Never thought I'd see a player from a losing team start jumping up and down celebrating with the opponent's fans that just stormed field on his ass, but I can now check that off the list.
