Breaking news: A different March Madness for Suzie McConnell-Serio

Clearly, every poster has an agenda, (whether it is to inform, to inquire, or even to negate) or else they wouldn't post! So your point? In the end AD Lyke is going to do what she wants. Regardless of my post or your comment. So again, as it has been mentioned before, if your concern is not the WBB, why spend the time to come out on a post that is Clearly titled as a WBB posting?!
I replied and questioned your OP, which is clearly slanted and doesn't even follow logic or understand norms.

You seem to be upset about the fact WBB isn't remotely close to the importance of MBB and the vast majority of fans have it placed far, far lower on the priority list. I hope WBB does well, but, like most fans, I realize MBB absolutely, positively is more important to the athletic department. Hell, finding the right HC for MBB is probably more important for WBB than finding the right coach for WBB because of the revenue issues.

Sure, if you employ undefined vague terms like "virtually," anything you say can be accurate. I got news for you, in the grand scheme of things, virtually no one cares about anything to do with Pitt.

Enough people care that there are regular posts on these board. At their peak, the Pitt women averaged over 4K per game over their 14 game schedule...for a program that had no history of success leading up to that. That's way better than any other Pitt sport other than football or men's basketball.
Ok. Virtually no Pitt people care about women’s basketball now. The glory days of Pitt women’s basketball have passed. We must come to grips with this.

Virtually no one cares about your opinion that you think no one cares.

By your logic, virtually no one cares about men's basketball either.

But far less people care about women’s basketball than men’s basketball, so while the point that Pitt basketball is virtually irrelevant on the world stage is correct. You still cannot argue the fact that even within the Pitt community virtually no one cares about women’s basketball.

And while you felt that you had to take a shot at me personally, which is technically true, you only prove my point further.

You are not stupid as evidenced by your long history of great posts, but on this one you are being stupid. And only being stupider by trying to make your stupid point not seem as stupid as it is.

So if Pitt's women's basketball averaged, arguably the peak for both the men and women's programs, about 35% off the attendance of men. And at its low point, arguably a recent low point for both programs this year, it averaged 36% of the men's attendance.

So, assuming complete overlap (which obviously isn't true, but it still would be a high %), slightly over a third of the Pitt hoop fan base cares. Is that virtually no one? Enough care that there are regular posts on these message boards about it by multiple posters.

If I'm taking shots, it is at the incredible oblivion to people posting in threads about subjects they feel compelled to declare that no one cares about. If that is a shot, it is very well deserved.
