The ND AD said Kelly will be back as the HC next year a few weeks ago so you have to go with that unless he did get canned and I didn't see it on the sports news. Been away at the beach for a while!
But when he goes watch out for Meyer he's ready for another move!

It's been talked about on internet blogs/reports, and on sports radio and TV shows.
It actually forced the ND AD to make the statement I think about 2 wks ago that Kelly will be back next year as HC. ND was concerned the firing rumors would impact recruiting.

Double his salary then. ND is a coaches graveyard. If he succeeds at Pitt, he can stay 20 years. PAY HIM, so he does.

And no, I'm not donating money, and never attending more than 1-2 games per year, just saying whatever the hell I feel like!

I'm just a rabid Pitt TV FAN, just watch for personal entertainment, not an active participant, other than the game or 2 I go to every year, still I'll say ANYTHING I WANT.

ND should be looking at guys like Fedora. Won for 3 or 4 years at a clip above swhat is normal at a bigger university. They aren't getting FL,Fsu, clemson,OK or TX coaches but that next level is where they need to indentify coaches who have exceeded the norm for their university for 3 or 4 years.

Castro is now dead but PITT fans and the PITT media could have run him out of Cuba many years ago if they focused on it. But they were busy getting rid of PITT coaches which was way more fun!

Kelly has done some winning in his career. Prior to ND as well. He's been at ND for 7 years. In 7 years he has 59 wins. Just to compare, in Holtz first 7 years he had 66 wins. He's no Charlie or Faust.

100% he's a ahole, but he does win football games.

They would be wise to get David Shaw.

He's shown the ability to win at a university with the restrictions similar to Notre Dame.

He has experience recruiting nationally and plays a style that will fit with some advantages notre Dame has.

I think he would be the best hire. Plus you take off a rival.

what restrictions does notre dame have...they get the absolute best athletes in the country..pretty much print their own money..

Kelly has not failed at ND, obviously this year was a disaster, but they played for the NC in 2012. Last year they were a legit playoff contenders until the final week, when they lost by 2 points to Stanford.
