WOW. Great all around player. triple triple triple today for Vincentian. 32 points 12 or so rebounds and 10 STEALS. Suzie got a great one coming in.

I was saying in a thread a couple weeks back that she struck me as a real gem. The idea of her & Diop flying around out there on defense is a really nice prospect.

Just don't see any way she doesn't have a great, great career at Pitt.

Wow, she had 13 steals in the state title game.

Brenna Wise is the best girls HS player that I've seen since SMS back in the 80's. She can do it all. The bigger the game, the more impressive her performance. And she played for a guy in Ron Moncrieff who got all he could get out of her. I don't know for a fact, but I'm guessing that she played AAU for him as well. Wise is going to be a star at Pitt.

Fun stat; Vincentian forced Old Forge into 45 turnovers today...45!!! In a 32 minute game. And Wise got her stats in 3 quarters of play.

I've read that she plays AAU for John Miller. That may have changed this year, however.

She did that much damage in 3 quarters? Mercy.

I'm with you, I really think she'll leave a mark at Pitt. How is her shooting? I know she had a nice percentage today, but I'm speaking generally.

Check out the video clip interview with Brenna Wise after her triple double game. The video is on the right side of this article when you scroll down a bit.

In particular, check out Brenna's reaction when the reporter tells her that Pitt won their NCAA tourney game. Very cool. She's already pretty media savvy - and definitely a big-time competitor.

Go Pitt.

Wow! Great interview!

That is a great clip! The reaction to hearing about Pitt's win is priceless. Coach SMS has it working. I'm excited for the program.

I'm going to get women's season tix for me and my little girl next season. H2P!

She's coming to Pitt? I didn't know that. And I'm a little surprised. Just a little.

Last year I was sitting next to some people who were rooting for her. Maybe they were family members? Not sure. I asked one of them what schools was she interested in. The lady said a few names. I don't remember who she mentioned. But I do remember Pitt wasn't one of them. That surprised me. Now I'm surprised again. In a good way.

Susie McConnel-Serio's sister and assistant Pitt head-coach is married to a Miller (Kathy McConnell Miller). I presume it is the same Miller family.

What's impressive about Coach Suzie - in her short time at Pitt -- is that she is getting the best local players (Yacine Diop, Brenna Wise...) while also bringing in players from across the country. Carey is from Cleveland; Bugg is from Chicago; in coming recruits are from Chicago, LA, and Allentown, PA.

Pitt has missed out on an all-star team of local players. Most recently, Aliquippa's 5'11" Shatori Walker-Kimbrough is a star Soph. at Maryland. She's shooting 53% and averaging 13 points and 5 rebounds in 29 minutes per game for the Terps.

Brenna W. seems like one of those ultra-competitive types who even is a casual pick-up game would be in your face game.

Go Pitt.
