Burton out 4-6 weeks

Yeah, they probably made the choice of chancing it and risking him being out for the conference schedule, or him being out for maybe a few OOC games and get him back up to speed for ACC play. No-brainer, and kind of the opposite of what happened with Champ last offseason where they just decided to have him in the brace for most of the year.

Not sure what the procedure was but it sounds to me like this was a partial menisectomy. Timeline sounds pretty accurate barring any setbacks.
I just had this. It’s been 4 weeks. My knee is still unstable and there is pain even when I walk. If it’s the interior meniscus that than really makes difficult with any turning and jumping because you have less shock absorption.

Had one done myself about five years ago. No real benefit and unfortunately puts us at three fold risk of needing a total knee replacement down the road.

Yep. They told me I could get a shot one day a week for the next 5 weeks to help. It sucks. Had to give up playing basketball and can’t jog anymore.

Going for knee replacement in second knee. No jogging or jumping but at least i will be able to walk decent distances, pump iron, stationary bike and clinb stairs without pain. Its an okay outcome when you are in your mid 70s.

I've had five knee operations
over the years. First one back
in college when the rehab
was not what it is today.
I've torn the ACL, other
ligaments and miniscus.

Amazingly, I still have both
knees. I have been getting
gel shots (three shots once
a week for three weeks).
They seem to be working.
