According to the Trib, Dan Hammer will pitch for Pitt tonight vs UNC.

Can someone provide info on Pitt P Dan Hammer?

UNC smoked Pitt in a 3 game series earlier this year and thus Pitt will have a tough game tonight.

However, I am hoping for the best.

My son and I are headed to the game.

I hope to see other Pitt fans at the game.

Let me know if this works/if you have any other Qs:

- RHP who is tall and lanky
- Out of all of our arms him and RJ's (bullpen) stuff is probably most electric
-He will predominately throw fastball/CB with a changeup in the mix
- Last summer he did play in Cape and had some success so he will definitely be a prospect next year once he is draft eligible

His stuff is great he is just not as polished as Pidich. If he can minimize walks we will be in good shape against UNC--when his FB/CB is on he shut out any lineup.

Perfect scenario: Hammer gives us 5 strong and we can ride our bullpen again. In this scenario I'd love to use Yaya, RJ, and maybe West in the 6th to grab this one.
