Can the ACC get 4 1 seeds?

Here me out:

Virginia is a lock.

What if FSU beats Duke? They would have beaten VT, UVa, and Duke in what may be the most impressive 3 game championship run ever (in terms of what the teams they beat were seeded in that NCAAT). FSU would be 28-6, 16-6 in the NCAA. They would get a LOOONG look.

Other candidates:

UNC
Duke (would only have 3 losses without Zion)
Gonzaga (only 1 real good win)
Mich/MSU if they win the B10T
UK/Ten if they win the SECT

So, basically if the B10 and SEC Champs are anybody but Mich, MSU, UK, or Ten....and FSU wins tonight, I think there's an outside shot at 4 1 seeds for the ACC.

It would be pretty tough to justify putting someone over UVa, FSU, Duke , or UNC

I don’t like Gonzaga getting a #1, but they will be ahead of FSU. UVA, Duke, and UNC are ahead of them in the ACC pecking order. Plus you have other potential #1’s still playing. The absolute best FSU will get is a #2 seed.

I DON’T LIKE Gonzaga getting a #1. What part of that did you miss? There are simply too many teams ahead of FSU.

True, but they take other things into consideration as well. 2 of Gonzaga’s 3 losses were without Killian Tillie, a future NBA player. They also went undefeated in conference play, not a great conference to be sure but I believe I read it was ranked #8 this season.

If you want the ACC to get 3 #1’s maybe there was some wiggle room if UNC made the final, but it will be tough for Carolina to get a 1 seed at this point. Losses to Pitt and BC kill FSU’s chance imo.
