They better. It's a real shame considering Narduzzi got off to a pretty good start his first two years here. Both @ PSU and Ok St back to back with how much they returned this year is insane especially for a team that lost so many key pieces from last year, with injuries and suspensions to boot, but this performance today is still just unacceptable.
At least there's ACC play... but even some of these weaker coastal teams look like they can give this Pitt team a run for their money. It's very discouraging.

Next week is key. If they can find a way to win, really these 2 non-conference games mean nothing and the season is back on. However, its not getting any easier. GT looks like they have an athletic QB and Pitt is going to have issues with the option.
Coaches have their work cut out for them. The team as a whole didnt show up. Its clear the DL is young and may be good in time but are nowhere near good enough. THats kind of scary going in against Gtech........
Our LBs are not D1 and we have issues at Safety that Hopefully Dopehead fixes next week.
QB is a mess. Dinuchi has shown he isnt very consistent band Browne is god awful. Our OL has been mediocre and the WR's have dropped a ton of balls.

Narduzzi always sells out to stop the run anyway. Our corners look better. Whitehead can be back. Maybe our defensive game plan fits this game. I hope we tackle.
Wish I could be that optimistic but based on what we've seen the first three weeks that would be an amazing accomplishment with this squad.

It might be helpful that we have seen that the original offensive plan is not going to work.
Whitehead will be back(?) - Aston might be back? - Maybe some newer players assume larger roles?
Geo.Tech will be tough with their speed. Beat Rice and maybe we can build from there..
I can't answer that until I see the next two games. Pokes are legit but that was heinous. No heart. Zero fight. No leadership whatsoever. Nightmare that all four Cs may belong on the bench. Well, not Maddox. Three of the four.
