He did some amazing things with our offense that very few teams have done.
Amazing job adapting his scheme with the talent that we have.
Clearly a great addition to Pitt.
Hope he's around a lot longer.

tons of talent to work with....two senior nfl lineman...a senior beast of a running back...a qb who made few mistakes and could make all the throws..and a slot receiver /returnman who was lights out the best surprise in the country this year..not bad tools to build with

I think he sticks around for at least a few more years. Hopefully HCPN is bending his ear about taking his route. Canada could leave now and take a lower level MAC job or stick around for a few more years and land a mid-level P5 job (like Indiana or Illinois) like HCPN did here.

What kind of coach (pedigree wise) will Oregon go after? If Kelly leaves Notre Dame they could definitely get him or even a bigger name, they're Oregon they have money. But this Pitt offense is insanely good, Oregon the kind of team that could give Canada a shot as HC. I mean that as far as what they look for there...offense.

I don't know if they will even consider him, like I said they could get someone much bigger. But there's a lot of teams out there that run high flying offensive systems, those kinds of schools I think may give him a look either this offseason or in the future.

Canada wouldn't even be on Oregon's list. They would look to make a big-time splash who can get them back in the title picture.

-This. While Canada has been great, people are making him out to be the 2nd coming of Bill Billicheick now. If you repull any preseason ranking, it was widely agreed upon Pitt was absoolutely loaded on the oline and with the rbs, and we were ranked tops in the entire acc and top 5 in the country with both units. And we knew Peterman was at least respectable. What further happened was Weah and Henderson exploding this year. The chips all came together this season for Canada too with the talent we have. This also shows how much of a failure Jim Chaney was. While Canada has been great and the offense has been dominant, talk of becoming a major p5 coach with a 3mil salary is way premature. Above everything else, he has to prove he can recruit too. We did completely strike out on qbs this year, and so far in 2018. And we have not exactly lit it up with wr recruiting either. We got Warren, Sibley, and Reeves, potential great players. He still needs to recruit better, not just light it up with prior coaches players.
