The Quarterback whose name shall not be mentioned gets some payback against the Stillers

5 starters were the same, out of 22.

I'd have to do a much deeper dive to look at the entire roster. But I think I recall hearing someone say there was a ton of turnover between the team Cowher inherited and the one that played in that SB.
Free agency as we now know it started during that time, every team had a ton of turnover.

If you do that same exercise with Tomlin, only 9 out of 22 were the same between Cowher's last year and 4 years into Tomlin's tenure.

It was. The one to Brown was behind him and the one to Barkley was underthrown.
Buddy these are pros. Those balls need to be caught. The one to brown? Yeah it wasn’t perfect but pros make that catch 99 out of 100 times. Barkeys drop was all on him. And the 30 yard drop in the first half was a perfect throw to Brown into his numbers.

Philly coaches are more than happy with Kenny after this one. He was shaky for a 15 minute span in the second half. Not surprisingly it was when his line struggled.

Ball to Barkley was underthrown by what - 15 yards? Had him beat if it's over the shoulder, but he made a running back adjust and come back and get it; not always easy for them.

What about the presnap stuff? Failing to recognize the blitz, etc.

He was on the much better team, and Washingtown turned it over five times. If he'd have played as well as you're suggesting they would have won by double digits.

Without the drops they would have.

What about the first Super Bowl? That's the one he won.

Why do you get pleasure out of trolling? There’s an entire thread on the pay board that’s objective and has entirely different tone than this one.

I didn't watch any of this game, but what's the problem with those stats, off the bench with 4 drops?

In a nutshell, he did his job pretty well.

The int was a bad play but QBs will throw them. He probably locked onto brown and the defender left his responsibility and made a play.

First half stats were good and would have been much better if Brown holds onto a ball and completes a catch for 30 or so that Kenny put on his numbers.

2nd half was good. Took the eagles down the field on two well thrown deep balls thrown to Brown that drew PIs on Lattimore. Then he drew a 3rd PI on Lattimore. Dude was struggling to stay with the Pickett/Brown combo. IMO he should have had a 4th PI in the end zone on what would have been a 2nd TD pass to Brown. He held Brown and Brown wasn’t able to make the catch. Eagles kicked a FG.

The Skins must have made some adjustments and were getting consistent pressure from the middle of the 3rd quarter into the 4th quarter.

Then Kenny did what Kenny does and led the eagles to a potential game winning drive and they kicked a FG to go ahead.

Mixed in there was a drop by Brown where Kenny put it where only Brown could catch it. He ended up dropping it. Then there was a deep ball to Barkley where inexplicably Barkley dropped it.

And then there was the final play that would have sealed the game for a 1st down and eagles would have ran out the clock, but Smith dropped a perfectly thrown ball that hit him in the hands and in stride. It would have been game over. skins got the ball back, went down and scored a TD to win.

Without the drops Kenny would have had 4-6 incompletions all day and over 200 yards passing. And most importantly the win. His passer rating would have been around 110.

My son, who isn’t a Kenny fan and didn’t want to see Brown do well today wasn’t happy. He also said if that pick and the drops don’t happen, Kenny probably has close to a perfect passer rating for the day. But the pick happened. That’s on Kenny.

Oh and Pickett had two upper body injuries sustained in that 2nd half too.

The PI on Lattimore where Brown was pulling on the collar of his jersey was a horrible call.

The last pass to Smith wasn't perfect, it was a bit high It still should have been a catch and that one was 100% on Smith, but the pass wasn't perfect.

The pass to Barkley was woefully under thrown.

Overall, still a very respectable performance & should have been enough for the win.
