Jeff Capel’s week keeps getting better.

Four days after landing his first commitment as Pitt head coach, Capel grabbed No. 2 on Saturday when Arlington (Va.) Bishop O’Connell guard Xavier Johnson picked the Panthers.

It almost looks like Capel will get most any player he really wants. If he doesn't get them, it will be because he backed off or they weren't a priority. I know he'll lost some recruiting battles, but not for lack of trying very hard and giving it his best.

He looks very athletic in those videos. He may not be a great jump shooter, but as a true point guard he sure seems like he can take it strong to hoop.

Sorry old and senile, this is the type of point guard people on this board has been clamoring for. But since he is a top 200 you have to bring up Stallings. Hes gone. Dont really care about past coaches.

Well, with that post you are living up to your handle. Take a look at XJ's offers.
He decommitted from Nebraska, and the ones pursuing him along with Pitt include
Tennessee, South Carolina, NC State, Georgia Tech, etc, etc. He's 6'3" ...nice sized
pt guard. It also now gives us three true guards (2 frosh and 1 Soph)plus Frame.
I still hope Ellison remains because that would give us another guard, (jr.) which
would give us much better class spacing at that position.

Johnson is one of the best recruits along with McGowen that we've had in quite some time. Those 2 in the backcourt will be something to watch, one of the best backcourts in the ACC. Both are certainly significantly better than anything Stallings ever got here. And Capel is in on even higher profile recruits now. This is just the start.
