The U better show up disinterested for our game. Slim chance against those athletes.
Pitt needs to win out except the loss vs clemson.
Miami or somebody needs to beat UNC and VaTech.

Pitt has a few advantages in OC Canada having coach against Clemson and Cuse. Pitt has one big liability, in Big Nate can't get hurt and so far has not had a Bad Game. Some Teams will target Nate and it will be up to OC, OLC, TEC Coaches to continue to keep Nate protected.
It is a setback but had Pitt Defense been up to being just average some QBs could have been put in Games to finish up had the Big Scores held up? It is what it is until it is fixed?
The Remainder Schedule:
First Virginia, and Mendenhall has had 2 weeks to prepare for Pitt and goes long plus has some talent on Defense. Not an easy win by no means, but Pitt can win it?
VT is under a better coach in Fuente than Beamer, Pitt stayed with UNC, but VT blew away UNC, Pitt has 2 weeks to prepare for the game.
Miami just plain out looks fast with FSU but UNC beat FSU and Pitt stayed with UNC? Richt already has Miami playing better with freshmen than Golden did with Juniors and Seniors? Pitt lost to Scott last year too???
Clemson is Clemson still the Gold Standard in ACC & CFB right now? It will be a great measurement game on how far Pitt has to go to improve towards the Top 25? Pitt hung on to beat Petrino's ULou last year but ULou QB is way better this year and just came up short against Clemson, so we shall see if Pitt can now stay with Clemson?
Pitt can't Underestimate or Unprepared for Duke or Cuse either. Both will have their Players better by the 11th & 12th game. Cutcliffe & Babers are Very Good Coaches! Chryst got bushwhacked once by Duke and Cuse once.
Pitt needs to run the Tables UVA, VT, MIAMI, DUKE and hope they all beat each other at least once or twice! Not easily done but can be done!

what the he'll are you yammering about? PITT was a TD away from representing their half of the conference last year. have fun being 5th best, even when PSU chose football above all else, in your half of the conference.
Assuming a loss at Clemson, pitt still needs unc to lose two more times. They beat us head to head. Unless we get in a 3 way tie with Miami and unc, but even then I am not sure if we would get the tie breaker.

No one said that Pitt was in the driver's seat. Simply that their chances improved greatly after they won coupled with VT pounding UNC.
