Sorry Steel, I don't agree with this one bit. Wade is an incredible talent, which is needed at any program. Additionally, no one steps right into a starting spot regardless of their physical measurables at solid D1 programs.

What separates Wade from the pack is his ability to completely blanket even the best HS WRs showing up at these summer camps. What he may lack in height, he makes up for in quickness and cognitive ability, allowing him to be in the best position to defend against that player. The guy also has some serious hops.

No dude. He has one mediocre posted shuttle time on a national recruiting website. Steel has him all figured out. That means he can't play. The coaches at the all the top 10 schools that are recruiting the hell out of him every day just don't have the ability to evaluate talent like Steel. Obviously our coaches don't either, as they are recruiting Wade hard.

-I never said the kid can't play. I clearly said there is no way in hell he is a Top 10 recruit Nationally with an 11.25 100M officially recorded track time with a 4.5 shuttle. Those numbers are horrific for an NFL prospect, which if you are ranked as a Top 10 recruit Nationally, that should mean sure level star. I'd cut the kid slack if he was 6'0 instead of 5'9. Is he a good football player? Yes. Those numbers are still highly suspect to even be an All Conference Player, let a lone an All American and NFL All Pro. I clearly said this the 1st time around when I posted Hamlin's numbers to Whitehead, followed by Wade, that post was probably made 8 months ago. I can pull it.

-Im more concerned with the Dline anyway, like always. 2 Biggest targets on the entire big board are Jeter and Garbutt.

Point remains that this city has been the home base for mediocrity for a quarter century. Never saw Bob Smizik or bearded assed Ron Cook on Around the Horn or The Sports Reporters, did you? And for all of Madden's bluster, he's still here after 20 years. And most of these people are so fat and comfortable that they don't or won't leave, meaning there are few spots for anyone to come in, bust their ass to make a name and then move on.

This really is the strangest city in regards to media. I think the last national news person to come from here is Edie Tarbox. We don't even have quirky lunatics anymore like Myron, Bill Currie, Al Julius, Lynn Cullen or Mike Bogaslowski. Just these average entities who come in, settle in and never check out.
