Yes...Stanford . ....Utah.....WVU...all better opponents . ..

Buy hasn't pitt earned a weaker bowl opponent after the schedule they played this year?

For the well being of this program . ....9-4 and ranked in year 2 is success this program hasn't seen in decades.

I understand wanting a better opponent......a warmer location . ....

But beating Stanford or utah doesnt do much more for pitt than beating NW.

id love playing in NYC if the opponent had a pulse.

this is like playing Wake Forest or BC.

It's just complaining for the sake of complaining. Those complaining weren't going no matter location or opponent.

NYC is a rather convenient location for most of the fan base. So the complaint is the opponent. If we were playing WVU in Florida people would complain that the game is on a Wednesday. Any excuse not to buy a ticket.

I hope Pitt hangs another 70 spot. It will be possible against NW.

They may be 32nd nationally with only 136 yards per game surrendered on the ground, but they didn't face any rushing attacks anywhere close to the caliber of Pittsburgh's this season.

I think Pitt shows up ready to play and wins relatively comfortably.

However, the line on this game is going to be a lot lower than most people on this board think. I'd probably open somewhere in the 5 range, but would not be surprised to see it come out less than that.

To me no opponent is easy. Northwestern is going to put up a good game. With pitt we can play with and beat the best but also crap the bed.

My preference would have been Utah or someone, but I'm certainly not complaining about northwestern.

8hrs on Megabus bro. The bus leaves 11pm on the 27th and arrives in NYC at 7am on the 28th, just in time for the game. It only costs 40 bucks each way and you dont have to stress about a thing!

It doesn't get any easier than that. H2P
2 questions about the megabus first, since megabusmegabus does not have terminals, how far is the drop off to Yankee stadium? And what time does it return to the Pittsburgh area? Or do you have to reserve your own return?

Huh? You have to be kidding. You know they follow FB out west and if you want the folks on the left coast to take you seriously, nothing works better than beating them

Ok....I'll play

Please provide the board with your incredible insight by answering the following

Pitts beats northwestern . ....they will be ranked where????

Pitt beats Stanford . ..they will be ranked where????

This will be enjoyable .

Here's the way to get there. Drive to Middletown, PA Amtrak train, 10 minutes from Harrisburg East exit. 3:15 from downtown. Park free. Take train to Penn Station for as low as $44.00 round trip and it takes 3:28. Great way to get to city

I was looking into this option and they have a 44 ticket out, but 200 ticket back. what am I missing

If you don't believe Pitt beating Stanford would'g garner more positive pub than Pitt beating a crap NW team that hasn't done squat in years then you're brain dead. More of your incisive analysis that leads to the conclusion that if Conner will be drafted in the 7thround he still has to go pro.. duh...

You are correct , can't beat sense in a homer, that would push a game against CCAC as great

The worst thing that can happen is that Pitt goes into this game thinking that it's gonna be a cakewalk. The way that Pitt gives-up points, there are no easy games.

Have we already forgotten that we just gave-up 61-points to Syracuse -- and their back-up quarterback?

Hmmmm.. so beating an opponent in the sun bowl is going to move the needle far greater than beating someone in the pinstripe...

And predictably . ...you won't answer how far up the rankings pitt goes by winning the sun bowl over the pinstripe ......

So I'll answer for you....

Not much.

As for connor......if you are suggesting he is a 7th rounder....you are alone.....

He is a 4th or 5th rounder......he won't do himself any considerable favors by staying.....

He should go...even if some here are butthurt.

Cheers!!

They drop off at 10th St and penn ave at 7am on gameday and departs at 11pm after the game. That location is 30 min drive from yankee stadium. it returns to Pittsburgh 7am on the 29th

I plan on ubering from one place to another.

Agree. If we win it doesn't matter who we beat. We just can not afford to lose this game. Going 9-4 in year with the wins we have would be about the quickest a coach has built a program here in a long time.

Chalking up NWU as a sure win probably isn't the best idea. It's as though some of you guys erase your Pitt football memories after every season, hell, every game, and you simply aren't aware of the history of this program.

The perception takes a little hit playing in this one. But I think they can still get the credit you're looking for by smashing them.

We should not take them as a definite win. They held OSU to 24 and Wisky to 21. Their "D" has given up more than 30 only twice this year. I expect Pitt to be a small favorite but we better show up ready to play to get win #9.
