Then Pitts bb program has been a failure since inception ?Shooting is measured by national titles, so both of these players are FAILURES.

Any ACC win is good win especially if they played well. And they did. I think your on the wrong board for your celebratory actives but good luck to you.We beat a bottom dweller. That is a fact. It was an important win, nonetheless.
Let's not start sucking each others Dix just yet.
It's a line from Pulp Fiction, you dope. Spell check placed Dix in for dicks, and I went with it. Get a sense of humor.Any ACC win is good win especially if they played well. And they did. I think your on the wrong board for your celebratory actives but good luck to you.
Yes I'm emotional on here because I am a diehard Pitt fan. I love Pitt football and basketball and allow myself to get caught up. But when I play poker I am pretty different. Like when I had that big cooler hand last night I mumbled to myself, got up and took a little break to calm myself down. Lots of players "go on tilt" after a hand like that and start playing way too many hands and usually lose a lot more. I was pissed for a few minutes, got up, stretched, talked on the phone, came back and put it behind me. It wasn't easy.
You have to have a certain mindset to play poker and you have to be able to bluff. 1 time I went all in on a missed straight draw(big big cash game). I put in $40,000 on a stone cold bluff. Had to sit there, look confident against a rich tourist who had lots of money to burn. After 5 minutes he showed me 2 pair and folded. I showed him my missed hand and he went nuts on me, cursing and yelling. Crazy profession.
Which is completely counter to your personality here. You "went on tilt" here last night, with respect to JRob, because he was a whopping 0-for-2 from the 3-point line at halftime.

The negative posters like to claim that tyey only recently started wanting Dixon gone...that is a flat out lie.
I can remember going back to dixon's first three years people wanted him fired because he couldn't get past the sweet 16. Wanted him fired after the nova loss because he couldn't defend at the end of a game. Wanted him fired the year after when there were zero expectations because Jordan Crawford from Xavier went off against them. People wanted him fired after the butler game too because they lost to a lower seed, ignoring the fact butler went to the finals.
Please do not act like you are being reasonable and basing this off recent events...the people who are bashing Dixon always have, and have always been myopic and irrational about it.
If he wasn't forced to chuck up a short because the shot clock is running out numbers would be even better. He is solid PTG, he would be great for school like Duke and because he would get all their all their skill in the right position and where they like to shoot. Would take the ptressure off what he does sub-par
how bout them Panthers!! No more arguing. My sense of humor is just fine you seem to be the one that needs one

Ok, Taylor. LolI'm here to help. If my help's not appreciated, lots of luck, gentlemen.
Of course it does, I'm usually RIGHT on EVERYTHING.That doesn't help your arguement
THAT may be the funniest post on here all day.Of course it does, I'm usually RIGHT on EVERYTHING.
IMO the 2010 season where we lost to Xavier was the best coaching job Dixon has done to date. You're nuts if you thought Pitt should've done more that season. I thought Gil Brown was incredibly talented, but overall the team had just lost so much from the Elite Eight team. Jamie proved his worth that season.Wanted him fired the year after when there were zero expectations because Jordan Crawford from Xavier went off against them. As for the 2011 season that we lost to Butler, I really think we were hands down the 3rd best team in the country. Lost at the buzzer in Big East tourney to UConn (National Champs) and lost in the final moments in the NCAAs to Butler (2 straight Championship Game appearances.)
Things have gotten a little rough lately, but I think Jamie is trying to change the identity of the program. It won't happen overnight and realistically is probably happening way faster than you could expect. IMO this is the best shooting team we've seen and I think it will get better in the future. If 17-4 (6-3) is considered a season in which we are struggling, I'll take that every single day of the week.
