Elijah Dotson was promoted from a 5.7 three-star to a four-star and the No. 125 player in the nation. It's a well deserved honor, and long overdue frankly. Pitt was the first team to offer Dotson, way back in January of 2023 following his sophomore season, so pretty good recognition by the coaches of his abilities early. As we know, Michigan is making a push here for Dotson along with his Belleville HS teammate Bryce Underwood. We're still in wait and see mode here because of all the noise from the in-state program. This was one I think we knew all summer would come down to the wire and there are still a few more weeks before he can make it official.
The second one is Damarion Fowlkes going from a 5.5 three-star to a 5.7 three-star, just shy of four-star status. I've noticed other recruiting websites made him a four-star, and again, I think Rivals is lagging behind here as well because he is that good. I'm very high on Fowlkes, and probably like him the most of any recruit they have committed if I'm being honest. I could see with Mumpfield graduating that he will have a chance to step into that 4-5 man rotation right away at the top of the receiver depth chart. I could really see him being a factor next year. He seems solid with his commitment, and it's probably a good sign he's tweeting out graphics from Pitt.
