David Teel: Pitt opener could be on ACC Network

As discussed here numerous times, Teel talks about UVA vs either Pitt or BC and VT vs Pitt or BC being on opening weekend to accommodate the launch of the ACC Network. GT vs Clemson is already slated for the launch of the channel.

Game could be either one on Friday and one on Saturday, or both on Saturday.

This will likely be a scheduling trend in the future as well.

I already said this but I wouldnt be shocked if either of these 2 things happened:

UVa vs VT to put pressure on DMV cable providers from go

One of the games is on a Sunday.

Either way, we have a decent shot at a night opener on ACCN since the Pirates are away

Rivalry game vs a team who lost 27 of 39 players who played meaningful snaps
Home game vs rebuilding mid-major power

The other thing I dont understand is why ACCN needs TWO conference games and NO FCS games in Week 1. Week 2 for the ACC is utter garbage.

Only FSU, Pitt, GT, and VT host games against FBS teams. 5 ACC teams host FCS teams.

The Pirates are home so Pitt will play at noon so the main ACCN lineup will probably look like this:

noon: Ohio at Pitt
3:30: ODU at VT
7:30: ULM at FSU

UVA and BC don't play next year. We are playing at home.....just BC or UVA.

Utah State @ Wake Forest will be the ACCN Friday game.

Pitt will host BC or UVa either Saturday night, Saturday 3:30 or Sunday.

Just like Penn State is with us . Hardest ticket to get for PSU the Pitt game the most expensive ticket not the Ohio state or Michigan it is Pitt so don’t make just one way
