Davis transferring

Good luck to Kham. I'm sure he will find an appropriate level of play that will allow him to be more of a contributor than he was last year.

Seems like a great kid. Hard worker. Has some skill but unfortunately not an ACC player. Would love to have a guy like that as your 10th or 11th man but this isnt football where recruits love sitting on the bench for 4 years. Basketball players want to play. I think he can be a starter on a mid-major.

I thought he had a spot as three-point shooter who could defend the 2 or 3 spot. But that (potential) niche probably wasn't enough, which makes sense considering Kham played sparingly this year and a few incoming players can serve that role.

He shot 32% from 3 point range this season.

Still think he has a future as a 3&D guy, but you might not get that until he's an upperclassmen and he's simply not going to get the minutes here to develop. Best for both parties.

Great kid who had a great attitude and completely bought into JC and the program...

I have mixed emotions about a kid like that leaving....Clearly he didnt have the talent to get significant minutes.......he just never seemed to have much confidence on the offensive end of the floor.........so it does open up a ship for a more talented kid.

At the same time, He had all the intangibles you like to see in a player.......

Wish him great success in whatever he does

I totally agree. I was hoping he'd stay. Let's face it, he would more than likely
be the fifth or worse player off the bench at his position (s). IMO he wasn't
going to play ahead of any of our guards and that includes the new
recruits (whomever they may be). He would not play ahead of any of the 3's either (Toney, Ellison and any newbies.).
Now if he wanted to stay despite being further down the bench than his first
few years......then keep him. I gotta believe Capel and he had a man to man
talk about his Bball future.
The queation is, where does he transfer to? What program would bring him
in to actually earn minutes? IMO it would have to be a low mid level program.
A St. Francis level perhaps?
