That's the story to me. This defense is a top 10 defense. Unfortunately, the offense is really bad most of the time. Terribly inconsistent. The way the second half played out isn't fair to the mastery of the Pitt defense. All ya gotta do at 26-3 is protect the ball. Pretty typical.

They’re pretty good.... They got a little rattled there the second half. They still can improve... they got mushy on the run defense. in the second half.

Duke ran 89 plays and still only got a little over 3 yards per play. That's a wild stat. Normally a defense is too gassed for that to happen. Maybe all the flags allowed them to rest!
