This is noteworthy sadface but also
The refs don't hand VT that ridiculous long QB run and VT has 130-140 yards rushing instead of 190.
Only 240 yards passing. Too many long completions, and too many conversions when VT decided to keep going for broke on 4th down because why not, it didn't matter any more. Too many bad tackle attempts in the second level. But at least 4 sacks, 8 TFLs, I'm sure it was more because I heard those two stats on the radio well before the game was over. 3 TD drives given up. 22 points.
Giving up 22 points will win you a lot of games if your offense has any pulse at all. Weaver and Hendrix were good again, Zeise and Idowu played a nice game. If they'd tackled better as a unit VT probably gets 10 points instead of 22. I suspect it's going to be a focus in practice the next two weeks... plus maybe during a trip to Charlotte. After all, tackling well is a huge bridger of talent gaps. Ask Pat White.
