If we are who pre-season prognosticators thought we should be (#10, ACC, #50 Sagarin, etc) we should be expected to beat Detroit by about 12 (Sagarin prediction with home court advantage).

On the other hand, if we are a lot better than that as some of us suspect; then, we should beat Detroit by about 20 pts. The game should be interesting in providing another data point as to where we stand.

This game will give a better gauge on this years team.Last night was basically a exhibition game. And in most years it would have been.I'd say we should win by 17 to 20.

Dixon isn't going to be playing his peak ACC rotation against Detroit. Don't take the final margin to be the final verdict on the quality of the team.

Agree, on the rotation part; but if we don't beat them easily it will "suggest" we aren't an improved team over last year. IMHO, even without a settled final rotation we should (unless there is a single game aberration--they are hot and we are cold) win by closer to 20 vs 10; assuming we are improved significantly over last year.
