Pitt football is only a few days away. This offseason has been incredibly encouraging and positive. I am so pumped up for this coming year and the future of this football program long term. This is what we have all been waiting for. Coach Narduzzi and this senior class have brought stability, confidence, and rising expectations back to Oakland. May the Cathedral shine bright with victory lights. Hail to Pitt.

Please post anything that gets you fired up for this upcoming season (pictures, videos, quotes, opinions, etc).

Condensed game... Perfect for lunch break viewing. What a win.
Thanks for sharing. That was an enjoyable 15 or so minutes. What a performance by the D. Interestingly, the only breakdown of the whole game came on Miami's late garbage TD when Whitehead was completely caught out of position and Berrios ran right by him. Otherwise, it was a perfect defensive effort.

Can't wait to watch Pickett now that he knows the full playbook.

hard to do when you play state capitals..no offense or excuse, but I experienced the same malaise before the Dover, Montpelier and Trenton games in years past.

"They don't respect you! This aint 1976! This aint 1968! It is 2016! They don't respect! They are gonna find out!' I can't wait to watch the Panthers repeat this in 10 days.

Talk about woulda, coulda, and shoulda. We ruined their entire season and I love it.

If that doesn't get you fired up, go root for someone else.

Hail To Pitt!

What is it that has you pumped up???

TZDA is one of a few long time best friends and a Pitt diehard. Just the thought of another season is enough. We went to NYC for the Pinstripe Bowl. I would definitely recommend it if Pitt ends up there again. Lot to see and do.

I am honored that you have been a member of this board since 2005, and decided to use your first post to ask me a really stupid question. Did you look at the thread? It's game week 1 of a very promising and exciting season. By the way, Penn State sucks.

If this song doesn't get your blood going you are dead inside.

That reminds me of the saying, "There are no stupid questions, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots."

We don't really know much about Damarri Mathis yet. I know a lot of us were scratching our heads that he was named a starter over Paris Ford. It is interesting to find out that he is thought of as "the best athlete on the team", possesses a 40 inch vertical, and runs a 4.48 40 yard dash. All of this was also mentioned in DC Randy Bates' interview.

Sounds like he has the potential to be a breakout star.

The interesting part of this interview with Taysir Mack is he contradicts what Brian Baltko reported earlier this week. He says that his health is 100% and he is ready to go on saturday. He claims that he has done extra work, mental reps, and that he has a good grasp of the playbook. He also mentioned fellow receivers that he has seen great things from over the course of the spring. Guess who he doesn't mention? Aaron Mathews. I'm seeing a trend now. Either everyone has been specifically told to not mention Mathews or he has been underwhelming. This is something that I am really interested in watching develop on gameday.

Did this asshole give the opposition any credit for playing well? Watch it
and see.
It's all about "us" (WVU), nothing about THEM, All the things "we" (WVU) didn't do
well. NOTHING about the other team maybe outplaying us.
When you lose, you lose...take it like a man and own up to the fact that,
that particular night the other team was better.

I've never liked this jerkoff, and not just because he's a Mountaineer.
If there's any doubt about that, just look at how he stiffed his home state,
snuck off to Michigan and not only stunk it up there, but embarrassed
that university with his continued antics. After leaving UM, his performance
at Arizona also stunk. So, as I look at this film from years ago. I see
why his reputation and performance going forward only worsened. This
film says it all!

CHRIS Please delete Rich Rod's face from this post.It makes me sick in stomach every time I think of 13-9.

It's a peeve of mine as well. Something I note Mike Tomlin tends to do well if the Steelers lose... almost always acknowledge the other team outperforming them, first and foremost. He'll then dutifully take on internal causes, but it's an appropriate way to address IMO.

As for the game and season, i definitely feel the juices as the first day approaches. The expectations are what they are. But all of us who hang out here (unless just out to troll, good or bad) almost certainly care at least a bit about the games, right? Beyond the average person. It's a long off season and finally they're here. OK, so it's almost certain we're not watching our guys holding up a crystal football in January but that's true of all but one. Fall and football are big positives for me in general so I'm digging it.

He is a good interview with EJ that was posted yesterday by Pittsburgh Sports Now. It is a little lengthy, but I have it set to start right at the best part. First he talks about Beano Cooks influence on him and then is presented with several rapid fire questions.

I'll never forget this game. I had a huge Biology exam the following day (8th grade) and said F studying, I'm staying up late to watch this game. I ended up getting one of my worst scores even on a test (60%, barely a D). However it was all worth it because I got to enjoy the supreme Pitt game of my childhood. Pistol Pete was the man.
