Interesting to see where we are compared to peer schools after already climbing so far. Still got a long ways to go.
What is dragging this number down? Is it the lack of sports compared to some other universities?

This is Pitt's best finish since 2006-07 (14 years) and Pitt still finished 14th out of 15th, just in front of BC, in the ACC. And this was a historically good year for Pitt's non-revenue sports, which shows just how poor Pitt's overall athletic department has been in the last 30 years that the the NCADA has been awarding the director's cup.

And BC has a team national championship this year! I think I'd rather finish last but get to claim one national title.

Excellent Progress in Olympic Sports. A 9-4 or better record in football and a championship in volleyball or soccer would be an awesome 2021-22.

That's 61 out of 65 P5 programs, 73rd nationally, which is a big jump. But shows how far down Pitt's overall athletics have been for years. Hopefully we can continue to see improvement on all fronts.

We'll never finish extremely high unless the stars align and all sports are at the top, just because we don't have the number of sports that some of these schools do.

But we also shouldn't be stuck at the bottom of the P5 IMO.
