Early Vegas odds...

Close to what I expected. Assume the line will drop to around -6 closer to Saturday.

Pitt's secondary needs to be a lot better next week. The offense shouldn't have much trouble moving the ball.

Oklahoma State -7

Fun stats going into this game

Pitt is #1 in the country in total sacks through 2 weeks.

Pitt is #3 in the country in forced fumbles through 2 weeks.

Pitt is #15 in the country in run defense through 2 weeks

Pitt is #13 in the country in turnover margin, +2 per game

Oklahoma State is 90th in the country in sacks given up

Oklahoma State is 113th in the country in rushing

Attack the QB all day long. Our Dline should dominate this game.

Vegas know Ok St. actually won yesterday. That was honestly one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of. Hopefully though it killed their spirits and doesn't just make them more focused for this game. Although win or lose I don't think Pitt will suffer the "letdown" teams do sometimes after a big win. I think they will be as ready as they were for the game yesterday.

Both the regular and replay refs were given 2 game suspensions after the end of game mishaps in the Okla St game yesterday.

You should be able to appeal the game like they do in baseball if the officials do apply the rules correctly. The play never should have happened, and one of the 8 guys in the crew should have said something.

I said it before and i will say it again. i don't care how good a Big 12 offense is, because they put up all those yards and points up again Big 12 defenses. In other words they never play a good let a lone great defense. Not saying we are a great defense, but we are a good defense. Not saying the Ok St game is a Pitt win, but Pitt is going to put up their points. I see this being a 5 points or less game. I think -7 is tempting, but i don't gamble anymore.

"Vegas know Ok St. actually won yesterday"......vegas does not give two hoots on whether they won or not, vegas speculates on those who wager (those are the folks who perceived osu won)...

If I was in Vegas, I would take Pitt + 7 I predict a game where both teams are in the 30's. Winner wins by 3-4.

If any of the Oklahoma State coaches actually knew the rule they could have tried to convince the refs that they were wrong or tried to get the refs to call up to the booth to get the call changed. Part of the problem from an Oklahoma State point of view was that none of the refs and the replay guys either knew the rule or if they did they didn't speak up at the time, but none of the Oklahoma State coaches knew to call them on their error when it happened.

The OSU coaches pulled a 'Slipp'in Jimmy' by not knowing the rules. :D

If Pitts smart they come out slugging the ball and catching OSU off guard and than running, they are going to crowed the line and we need to get them off the line of scrimage

This game comes down to Pitt's ability to stop OSU's passing game. They have work to do this week.
