There has been a ton of envy over psu recruiting recently which got me thinking a bit... Kids opinions of programs are shaped usually around 10 years old or so... they will gravitate to who they see on TV with big crowds. PSU has a huge advantage in that there is no other program anywhere close with a winning history. Why does PSU recruit well in NJ? rutgers sucks... Maryland? maryland sucks... Pa? pitt has had little success... Virginia? only Vtech has had success....Any staff should recruit well at PSU because for these kids this is the offer they have been waiting on.... Look at MSU.. finally starting to recruit better because these sixteen year olds remember them winning.. Takes time...
Was also looking at NC rankings in particular... Out of the top 15.. Zero are committed to instate schools... Why? because they have sucked for decades.
Basically telling you what you already know.. Win and it will pay off in recruiting for years to come...
