What is the latest on Eli? Still injured in body or head? Are we over relying on someone who may not be a true P4 starter, like MBB did with Jaland Lowe? Both are good young men, but perhaps do not have talent level to be the centerpiece of a P4 college sports team? Hoping I’m wrong. H2P!

We will know when the season starts. Did his mind or body correct itself near the end of the spring game when he went 7 for 7 to close it out?

if true, and that's a very big IF, but if true, then yes, Eli's alleged poor play would definitely have contributed to this open QB competition..
honestly, i'll believe it when i see it. This is Eli's job and he will be the starting QB once the season starts and only if his play is putrid for multiple games, will he then be replaced. outside of injuries of course..
whether that's right or wrong is debatable but eli will be the starting qb in the fall.
Unless he's awful, I see Narduzzi granting him a long leash. We have started five different quarterbacks the last two seasons, and Narduzzi doesn't strike me as the type who wants to continue playing that game... especially when riding it out with Pickett paid the dividends it did.
That said, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities for him to be awful. And even if he isn't, you can bet he's not going to be healthy for 12 games.
