So far we've been connected to guys from Colgate, Longwood, George Washington, Ball State, Drexel, George Mason, East Tennessee St that I recall. Beside Bridges no other Power 5 kids have been contacted. Sorry. They may be great players in their leagues but I doubt 3 or 4 of these guys will be difference makers in the ACC. Some teams have success pulling guys from these types of schools, but mostly they are role players and come off the bench.

IA St drastically improved with transfers from Penn St, Washington St, Minnesota, Kansas, UNLV and Denver. Besides Denver, all are in the P5 and UNLV is in the next tier, way above the Citadels and Colgates. Stop wasting time, energy and possible scholarships to get these guys. The portal is starting to pick up now that the first couple rounds of the NCAA tournament and NIT are down. See what you can get from these teams. Because the kids we are looking at now comparable talent will be there in a few weeks.

Wake improved with guys from Oklahoma and Indiana State (MVC is a good league). Miami got a Big East PG and made the Sweet 16

It is discouraging, isn't it. When will we see some transfer portal candidates from schools like Auburn, Tennessee, O$U, Houston, even Rutgers or Seton Hall?

It is what it is at this point. I hate to say this, but we need to root for 8-10 wins overall and less than 4 ACC wins to make sure this nightmare ends. The worst case is he patches together a .500 or close season and Heather decides to keep him beyond next year. I haven’t gone into a season rooting for a lack of success since 1983 with the Penguins.

I would take kids from the bottom feeders from P5 teams and MVC, MWC type conferences. These players were recruited to those schools because coaches believed they could play/contribute at the highest level. Again, a guy or two from the bottom conferences are OK if they are brought in to do 1 thing - back up PG, Reb, 3 pt shooting, D specialist. But you can't have these guys be the focus.

Sorry this really bothers me. Nothing to lose to swing for the fences. We do have a lot to offer. Primary two huge carrots - PT and a chance to shine in a top conference.

This isn’t a statement of support, but if this tournament has shown us anything it’s that the gap between a good mid major and 95% of high majors isn’t really that large. There’s talent at every level if you know what you're looking for and how to make the pieces fit. Do I trust that this staff has a clue how to build a roster? Not a chance.

Even if they could build a roster equivalent to a strong mid major, they couldn’t coach it.
