Hopefully, Duzz is doing exactly what I'm doing this week. Playing Enter Sandman all day, so by Saturday at 3:30 the team has absolute disdain for the song and takes it out on VT!!

Enter Sandman has to be the most overplayed pop metal tune of all time...
The fact it’s used at so many sports events has only made it more lame over time
Kill them All to Master of Puppets are Metallica’s best era IMHO
Sandman was the turning point of Metallica selling out

The band lost it’s identity a bit after Cliff Burton died in the bus accident while on tour for Master of Puppets.
Garage Days was really their 1st album(Kill ‘em All is the 2nd). The band lost it’s identity a bit after Cliff Burton died in the bus accident while on tour for Master of Puppets. Looking for direction to take their music mainstream, they hired Bob Rock to produce the Black Album which made them iconic, but distanced them from their roots. It wasn’t until Trujillo became the bassist and Rick Rubin their producer. that they rediscovered themselves. The Death Magnetic Album is much more like their 80s albums and was not produced by Bob Rock.
One day, we will look back at the band’s body of work and recognize that no other band in the history of modern music was able to dramatically change their genre as successfully as they did before ultimately returning to their roots in their 50s and probably even 60s.
Anyone who has ever gone to a Metallica show, a fan or not, understands the energy their music brings. I would rather Pitt play Enter Sandman than Sweet Caroline for crying out loud.
Sandman was the turning point of Metallica selling out
I agree the lillywhite sessions are way better than everyday -It’s basically an AC/DC album
Too meat and potatoes
Reminds me of when DMB did the every day album
Clear selling out for bland mass consumption
Both bands lost much of their originality at those points
In DMBs case they already had a much more adventurous LP in the can and the label had them start over with another producer the results were predictable and bland
Dump Sweet Sweaty Caroline for something new, younger, more exciting like Metallic's So What on the Heinz big screen.
Haha. I don't think they'll actually do that given the amount of profanity in that song. It is defiant though!Dump Sweet Sweaty Caroline for something new, younger, more exciting like Metallic's So What on the Heinz big screen.
Dont worry Caroline it happens all the time.
I think Pitt needs to rock it out since the fanbase isnt getting younger.

Exactly they just lost who they wereI agree the lillywhite sessions are way better than everyday -
Glad Gray Street gets plenty of concert play
If Pitt is going to have a Metallica into make it Sanitarium with that great atmospheric build up... or Battery or Damage Inc. as a nod to our awesome defense
